WEBINAR "Trust What You Can Trace: Making Agentic AI Explainable"
**Pre-registration is REQUIRED. RSVP here - [https://hubs.li/Q046VS--0](https://hubs.li/Q046VS--0)**
**Speaker:** Michael Novack, Solutions Architect at AIceberg
**Topic title:** "Trust What You Can Trace: Making Agentic AI Explainable, Secure, and Enterprise-Ready"
As enterprises adopt increasingly powerful AI systems, one critical challenge remains: understanding how and why these systems make decisions. Many modern models - especially large language models - operate as opaque “black boxes,” making transparency, compliance, and trust difficult to achieve.
*This webinar introduces the AI Explainability Scorecard, a practical framework for evaluating the transparency of AI systems based on criteria such as faithfulness, consistency, accessibility, and comprehensibility*. Attendees will learn how different model architectures - from K-Nearest Neighbors to neural networks and transformers - vary dramatically in explainability and risk.
**The session will also explore real-world techniques for improving visibility into complex models, including surrogate monitoring approaches that map AI behavior to comparable examples.** These methods help organizations build observable, auditable AI systems without sacrificing performance or scalability.
By the end of this session, attendees will understand how to move beyond black-box AI toward transparent, accountable, and secure AI deployment - a critical step for enterprises scaling agentic AI in high-stakes environments.
You will learn:
**\- Why Explainability Is the Foundation of Trustworthy AI**
*Learn why transparency isn’t just a technical preference - it’s becoming a legal, ethical, and operational requirement for enterprise AI systems.*
**\- The AI Explainability Scorecard Framework**
*Understand the five key criteria - faithfulness, comprehensibility, consistency, accessibility, and optimization clarity - for evaluating how explainable an AI model truly is.*
**\- How Different AI Models Compare in Transparency**
*Discover why some models are inherently interpretable while others require advanced methods to understand their behavior.*
**\- Practical Methods for Making Black\-Box AI Observable**
*Explore modern techniques - including surrogate monitoring models - that help organizations understand and audit large language models at scale.*

Criminalizing DC Youth: The Politics of Curfews & the Need for Community Control
As DC officials consider a renewed juvenile curfew in the name of “public safety,” a familiar pattern is emerging: the criminalization of working-class Black youth and the expansion of state control over our communities. Curfews do not address the root causes of harm—lack of resources, disinvestment, and exclusion from decision-making. Instead, they give police broader authority to stop, surveil, and detain our youth simply for existing in public space.
This [Assata Shakur Study Group](https://pacapower.org/our-work/programs/assg/ "https://pacapower.org/our-work/programs/assg/") session will examine how curfew policies function as tools of social control, not solutions to violence. We will break down the political logic behind “tough on crime” approaches and expose how they shift responsibility away from the city and onto youth themselves. At the same time, we will explore [PACA’s vision for community control](https://pacapower.org/our-work/campaigns/community-control-dc/ "https://pacapower.org/our-work/campaigns/community-control-dc/"), one where residents, not police, have real decision-making power over safety, resources, and the conditions that shape our lives.
*Food will be provided!*

In-Person Event: The Answers to Depression & Anxiety
This is an in-person meeting. At this meeting you will get answers to depression and anxiety. Find out the source of them and how to get rid of them.
Did you know that unwanted emotions like anxiety, depression, unhappiness, loneliness, hopelessness, anger, fear, or feelings of irritation don’t just fall on you for no reason. They are not random occurrences that simply happen to people's minds. They are definitely not due to a chemical imbalance in your brain from some nebulous chemical reaction "by chance".
Your negative emotions are the symptoms of the painful experiences that you have which are not healed, and which are still affecting you.
The effects of these painful experiences are exacerbated by the pressures or difficulties of the other problems in your life.
Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life.
Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there.
This group is created by the Hubbard Dianetics Foundation of Central Ohio and Church of Scientology of Central Ohio.
Speak Easy (Storytelling)
The topic for April is "Water"
Speak Easy: true stories, told live.
The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast.
Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect.
The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience. Speak Easy is also a great outlet for performers, writers, and artists looking to share their favorite stories and perfect their skills. We strongly encourage tellers to please tell the story rather than read it so we keep within the spirit of good storytelling and stay engaged with the audience. All are welcome. Hang around after the show for a drink and build community!
