We meet and begin by checking in with each other, followed by a guided exploration moving from somatic practice to contact dance improvisation. This all culminates in opening the space for the free flow of dancing and explorations in duos, trios and as a group. Bodywork will help us to warm down at the end and integrate what we experienced. Dance is our way to create a space for exploration: what happens when queer men’s bodies meet and get in touch without any expectations and intentions? In Contact Improvisation, touch is the source of finding dance movements. It helps you to be open to the here and now, to surprises, to letting go of performing roles, meeting expectations, and following scripts. Any movement can be part of this dance, no matter how simple – we literally move any way we feel. This creates a conversation without words, simply through our moving bodies. Feeling ourselves by sensing others can create nourishing bonds of community as much as it liberates us. Von Erfahrung weiß ich, dass man ziemlich gutes Deutsch haben muss, um eine Sternstunde zu verstehen. Setzt euch immer wo ihr wollt und wo ihr Plätze finden könnt. Persönlich habe ich den Sitz 22, Reihe 10, Block Nord. Wenn ihr Glück habt und ihr Plätze neben mir findet ist es umso besser. Wir begrüßen uns um 15:30 Uhr bei MATANGA - Cafe & Co., Dunkerstraße, in der Nähe von S Greifswalder Straße, und 16 Uhr laufen wir nach dem Planetarium. Wir können beides über die Signalgruppe und Meetup Chat kommunizieren. Ein Link zur Signalgruppe wird im Kommentar gegeben. Mir wurde die Frage gestellt „Hat die Sternstunde etwas mit Poetry zu tun? Da steht nichts von Poetry...“ Naja, Dichter nehmen oft Bezug auf die Sterne, glaube ich. Das ist eine Verweisung in die Wissenschaft, halt einen Vorschlag, dass man den Kopf hochhalten und aufrechterhalten solle. Zum Beispiel, der Dichter Philip Larkin im Gedicht ‚The North Ship‘, im ersten Gedicht, erzählt „Under a fire-spilling star,“. Für Poetry gibt es den Zusammenhang von den Sternen, und wenn man keine Kenntnis von diesem Zusammenhang hat, kann man die Gedichte nicht ganz gut lesen. Denn wir uns für das Lesen von Gedichten interessieren, sind Sternstunden gut. Kenntnis von den Sternen sind auch gut wenn man unterwegs ist, und wir möchten oft unterwegs sein. Auf die Sternstunde, das Gespräch, und die Gesellschaft freuen wir uns!!

## DNA. presents: "CREATIVE WRITING" In this workshop, You will learn a method that can help You to strengthen Your access to Your creativity, write more, write better and get back into a flow state in which new ideas emerge. ‍ ##### HOURGLASS METHOD Lena will guide You through the three phases of her hourglass method, which consist of different writing exercises, and explain the background to them. You will use pen, paper and Your words as tools, but You don't have to be a poet to have fun and benefit from the workshop :) ‍ ##### APPLICATION OF THE METHOD: The method can also be used on Your own at home after the workshop, whenever You need a creative jump-start. ‍ ##### SETTING: The small group setting as a safe space also allows You to share your thoughts with others. ‍ You'll learn techniques to: * Tap into Your Inner creativity. * Overcome self-doubt and fear. * Express Yourself authentically and confidently. * Cultivate a sense of purpose in Your art and communication. ##### ‍ ##### **ABOUT LENA HOHL:** ‍ Lena is a writer and a creative who expresses herself through words and her voice. After spending most of her life trying to fit in and conform, she rediscovered her innate passion for writing. It all started with a diary; now she is finishing her second book and working on a series script with a co-author. Lena loves stepping out of her comfort zone and trying new things. In addition to stories and essays, she writes and performs rap songs and has recently started working as a freelance writer. She has also completed certified training in storytelling and author consulting. In her Hourglass Method, Lena combines knowledge from her education and interest in creative processes in the brain with ideas based on her own experience as an artist. Hello Balkaneros and wannabes! 😊 Christmas is approaching 🌲 and those who are staying in town can enjoy fantastic Balkan music again. On the evening before the Christmas Eve you have a great opportunity to hear one of the greatest Berlin local bands **BalkaNova** that will play at b-flat jazz club in Berlin-Mitte. The international ensemble BalkaNova, featuring the phenomenal Bulgarian singer Viktoria Lasaroff, blends Balkan folk and world jazz in an innovative style. BalkaNova interprets folk songs in a special way: arrangements closely based on the lyrics reflect the meaning of the words at every moment through subtle, jazzy harmonies, rapid rhythms and the meter typical of the Balkans. This is in the main mall where the Microsoft store used to be, on your left if you're standing at the bottom of the AMC Theater escalator. Join us on Sunday for an hour of uninterrupted wordmaking! • What we'll do Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at noon on Sundays. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. SCHEDULE: 12:00 - quick intros. 12:10 - timer starts: write for 1 hour. 1:10 - chat / take off / keep writing. OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens at 1-1:30ish. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing. BEING LATE IS OKAY: just show up and get settled, then check-in with me after the session. Broad St., Columbus 43215** WHAT IS CONTRA DANCING? Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THAT’s Contra Dancing! Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor. Be sure to come for the beginner's lesson from 7:30 - 8:00, followed by dancing 8:00 - 10:30. All dances are taught; we will help you learn! Beginners always welcome, no need to bring a partner. Join us as we kick the New Year with a fun Happy Hour and your choice of two fun, new films! Option 1 is the biographical-musical-docu-drama, SONG SUNG BLUE, which stars Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson in the story about a real-life couple and Neil Diamond Tribute Duo. Option 2 is the comedy-action-adventure ACACONDA, which stars Jack Black and Paul Rudd as part of a group of friends remaking a favorite movie from their youth.
