Build with AI: AI-Powered Frontends with Angular + Google Agent Development Kit
A 6-hour, hands-on meetup: build a working AI-integrated frontend app, then dive into how AI is reshaping day-to-day team communication and leadership.
Join GDG Yerevan for a practical, builder-focused event with two parts:
Workshop: create a frontend application integrated with AI (Angular + Google Agent Development Kit (ADK)).
Talk: how AI affects daily work communication—and how Mid+ engineers can help teams stay aligned instead of “losing the thread.”
What we’ll do
Part 1 — Workshop (11:00–14:30)
Armen Vardanyan opens with a short intro, then we build together: a frontend app that integrates AI using Google Agent Development Kit (ADK) + Angular.
Part 2 — Talk (15:00–16:00)
Inesa Toroyan — “Leading with Emotional Intelligence”
Let’s talk about what it really means to lead in a world where AI is part of everyday decision-making. This session explores how emotional intelligence helps engineers use AI thoughtfully while strengthening judgment, communication, and trust. We’ll discuss the role of senior engineers and the team dynamics in the era of AI.
Part 3 — Networking (16:00–17:00)
Meet people, exchange ideas, and connect with the community.
🍕 Pizza will be available during the event (no dedicated pizza break—grab a slice whenever it fits your flow).
Who should attend
Frontend / Full-stack engineers and students who want hands-on experience integrating AI into real apps.
Anyone curious about team workflows and communication changes caused by AI tools.
Recommended knowledge (not mandatory, but encouraged)
JavaScript fundamentals + familiarity with at least one framework/library
Beginner AI basics help (prompts, tokens, temperature, and a general idea of agent/tooling concepts like MCP)

Adjusting PID Coefficients Using Reinforcement Learning for UAV Control
🚁 **What if a UAV could adjust its own control settings?**
PyData Yerevan opens the year with its first meetup of 2026, focused on how Reinforcement Learning can be used to tune PID controllers for UAV control.
🎤 **Talk:** Adjusting PID Coefficients Using Reinforcement Learning for UAV Control
👤 **Speaker:** Davit Ghazaryan, Adjunct Lecturer, AUA
In this talk, you’ll see how:
* Reinforcement Learning is used together with classical control
* PID Coefficients are tuned in a realistic UAV simulation
* Learning agents interact with an autopilot using RLDroneSim, ArduPilot SITL, and Gazebo
***📌 The research presented is being conducted as part of a project supported by the Afeyan Family Foundation.***
Let’s start 2026 with a meetup focused on applied research and real systems.

Fun & easy way to play more tennis (read event description)
We’re still working to get more people into these Meetups, but our goal is to give PlayYourCourt members a few social tennis outings each week in addition to your practice sessions and Challenge League matches.
These Meetups are co-ed, super laid back, and all skill levels are welcome. Post your skill level and a suggested court in the comments section so we can round up as many players as we can for some tennis fun!
Also, if you’re looking to meet new practice partners or play some matches and you aren’t already in the PlayYourCourt Community, you can go here to see what we’re all about and sign up:

If you love tennis, we’d love to have you! Be sure and watch the quick video that explains how everything works.
Happy hitting!

Board games at The Forge
The Forge does have a full bar and kitchen. There is no cover charge but they do request all attendees to purchase a minimum of ~$20 per person. Soft drink refills are $1 each. Please support our hosts so we can continue to provide great events for the group!
The Forge has a large library of games available for us to enjoy. Hosts and regulars will also provide numerous popular games but please bring any games you would like to teach and/or play.
Doors open at 6, and we expect gaming to be rolling by around 630. Please promptly end your games and clear out the space at 10pm when the bar closes.
