The session will be life model focused but Freya will introduce chaotic elements to challenge you and move your drawing on to higher levels. Building on a long tradition, we often reach a point where we crave more personal expression in our work. Whether this urge arises on day one or after years of practice, the question remains: How do we find our unique artistic voice? How can we expand into abstraction or imagination? How do we bridge the gap between working with a model in the studio and continuing our creative journey at home? Sharing from their personal practice, Suzon will guide participants in discovering and nurturing their own creative voice throughout this two-day workshop. An opportunity to expand your creative toolbox and discover new ways of working. **Day 1** We’ll explore visual brainstorming techniques and discover how to infuse our paintings with a deeply personal touch. Focusing on one key concept at a time, we’ll experiment with pushing, stretching, and playing with these ideas to develop a language that feels both personal and intentional. • How can we use values to evoke specific sensations? • Which colours best convey our emotions? • How can our marks and composition and add deeper layers of meaning to our work? In April WQC's Creativity Circle will be making beaded bracelets and keychains! The topic for April is "Water" Speak Easy: true stories, told live. The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast.
