**Meeting at 11:20 on Saturday at the Laima shop & Ticket Offices area of the central railway station. We are taking the 11:38 train to Skulte, and will get off at Vecaķi. Please arrange for your own ticket.** You might have seen recent photos of the frozen seaside and the famous Lady Kathleen / Lady Cotlin shipwreck near the Mangaļsala Pier. On this daytrip we will venture out to Vecaķi and walk by the seaside to the Mangaļsala Pier. **The path will most likely be frozen and slippery.** If possible and safe, we will get close to the shipwreck as well. **Approaching the shipwreck might be unsafe and it is your own responsibility.** The weather is expected to be cold and appropriate clothing and bringing hot drinks are advised. The walking distance is about 12 km from the Vecaķi train station to the Pier and then to the terminal of Bus 24. We will take Bus 24 to return to the centre. Everyone is welcome to join. Our Sewing & Crafting Activity Group is gathering to connect, serve, and create together in a Christ-centered environment. Whether you’re experienced or brand new, all skill levels are welcome. No supplies needed, but sewing machines are appreciated if you’re comfortable bringing one. Join us January 20th, February 17th & 24th, March 17th & 24th, and April 21st from 1–6 PM in the Youth Building at Village Chapel as we begin with prayer, enjoy fellowship, and work on meaningful service projects together. Ray Ray's also has coffee, and the brewery has free water (and Jeni's ice cream). You can come late or leave early. Please just sign up so I know to expect you. **Notes on Parking** * You'll (probably) have to park on the street, but street parking is free on Sundays. * There are [parking garages](https://landgrantbrewing.com/parking/) a little farther away if you want. This means that, even if you're driving a non-EV, you can park in the EV spots near the brewery. **Games** I do bring many games, but please bring some of your own as well.
