Book 8 is on friendship and it leads to a discussion on pleasure in book 10. (I see some elements of Marcus Aurelius here). I saw several translations on Amazon, with notes, so I will be reading one of those, but any copy will do. Arthur, we liked your proposal to read Tacitus.
