DO WE HAVE TO FOLLOW ALONG?** Our workshops are super informal, this is not a strict class, we have an instructor to guide you along but this is a very basic beginner event for you to experiment and have fun. We reward creativity and encourage everyone to create something different. **I'M GOING TO BE LATE, CAN I STILL COME?** Yes we don't usually start exactly on time. Due to a large volume of people arriving at once it usually starts at least 10 minutes after the time of the event. • What we'll do About us: The Tibetan Dharma and Meditation Group is part of a Buddhist organisation based in Taiwan, which is centred on one of the greatest living rinpoches (teachers) in the world at the moment. It aims to introduce people living in Ireland to Buddhist teachings and practices that have been passed to Rinpoche through his masters and their masters going back many, many generations in order to benefit and bring peace to all sentient beings. Hi, all Independent Movie Lovers. You are invited meet at 7 pm, on Friday the 20th of February. This meeting is at the Café on the ground floor of the Light House Cinema, Smithfield Square, Dublin. We will discuss the film: **My Father's Shadow** (2025), directed by Akinola Davies. My Father's Shadow is set in 1993, and examines a family's struggles in Lagos. We will also discuss: **Apocalypse Now** (1979), directed by Francis Ford Coppola. Several versions are in circulation. It seems the Apple TV and Sky Store are showing the 147 minute cut that was essentially the original theatrical release. I think Coppola's 2019 'Final Cut' is available for rental from YouTube, and this would be the preferred cut for discussion. We will watch the movies independently, and meet for discussion on Friday the 20th of February, at 7 pm, at the Café on the ground floor of the Light House Cinema, Smithfield Square. **My Father's Shadow** is showing at some Dublin cinemas, including Cineworld in Parnell St, the Light House Cinema at Smithfield, and the IFI, Eustace St, until Thursday the 12th of February. **Apocalypse Now**, the 'final cut' is available for online rental on YouTube.
