Join us for our first meetup! We will have a discussion on Fiat vs Bitcoin, a little bit of learning and discussions that are important to the group. This a social group so bring your questions and curiosity, prepared to listen and share. Too often, women are left out of the conversation while they prepare to live longer, care for more people and are the heart of any community. Wouldn't it be great if we could be more educated on ways to beat inflation, have more choices, and be prepared for the changes to come? "Festivus" is your heritage - it's part of who you are! The five tenets of "Festivus" are: * "Festivus Pole" * "Festivus Dinner" * "Airing of Grievances" * "Feats of Strength" * "Festivus Miracle" We will begin by quaffing margaritas and enjoying chips & salsa (no double dipping) while admiring the "Festivus Pole" comprised of aluminum with a very high strength-to-weight ratio. Every 4th Friday of the month Rene Davila hosts an "Alternative Milonga" at Lioudmila Dance Studio. He creates very eclectic tandas, using music that one would "normally" not associate with Argentine Tango. Why? Because 1. It's fun 2. It's a new challenge: Leaders and Followers really need to tune in and connect, in order to create a different kind of experiences. 3. It's playful to match some of our traditional or Nuevo moves to different music. Lesson starts at 8, Milonga at 9. Admission: $15

Bienvenue! Columbus French Conversation group invites you to our Saturday morning French conversation club. Expect a casual and welcoming atmosphere in which to learn french! I will bring my laptop so we can look up new vocabulary as needed! The venue is a beautiful French restaurant so you can really get into the zone :)

Salsamante Dance Academy will be at Swerve to share the Rhythm & Energy of Bachata & Salsa. These are Beginner Level lessons to get you comfortable and understand the two dances. ######## NEW LOCATION ####### We are going to be at The Forge on Bethel Rd this week and until further notice! The Forge does have a full bar and kitchen. There is no cover charge but they do request all attendees to purchase a minimum of ~$20 per person. Soft drink refills are $1 each. Please support our hosts so we can continue to provide great events for the group! The Forge has a large library of games available for us to enjoy. Hosts and regulars will also provide numerous popular games but please bring any games you would like to teach and/or play. Doors open at 6, and we expect gaming to be rolling by around 630. Please promptly end your games and clear out the space at 10pm when the bar closes. We encourage socializing but do not permit disruptive behavior of any kind. Thank you for your continued commitment to providing a fun and welcoming space to veteran, newbie, and rookie gamers in the Columbus area! Parking can be challenging. There is a parking lot behind the building that is free and easy to walk from but it's a bit hidden.

While some are still meeting online, this is an in person event. Please note that we have attendees of all levels of speaking, including some native speakers. All are welcome! Also, as we meet at the same time and place each week, many don’t RSVP on the app, so we will likely have more attendees than noted here.
