The Ethereum Developers Meetup in Toronto (and surrounding area) is back for 2026! We have a second guest confirmed last minute who unexpectedly showed up in Toronto! [Willem Olding](https://www.linkedin.com/in/willem-olding/) of Boundless Network, will be showcasing some work from Signal Ethereum, ZK-proofs of Ethereum consensus. Jan is a co-founder of Zircuit. He is an experienced researcher in algorithm design and formal methods and is interested in all things rollups, plasma, and beyond. At Zircuit, Jan's research is focused on sequencer-level security, minimizing proof generation time, and developing novel methods to check the correctness of zero-knowledge circuits. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo in 2022. Willem has worked in crypto since 2018, and on Ethereum since 2021. For much of this time his focus has been on verifiable computation in the form of state channels, fraud proofs, and ZK proofs. He currently works as a protocol engineer at Boundless Network, a spinout company of RISC Zero.
