Gay Men’s Circle – May 25
Gay Men’s Circle – May 25
Most places we meet other gay men are bars, apps, or busy social scenes. This is something a little different. Gay Men’s Circle is a relaxed evening where you can connect with other men in a more real and grounded way. No pressure to perform, impress, or have the right words. Some men share what’s going on in their lives. Others simply listen and take in the conversation. Both are completely welcome. Many people say they rarely get the chance to spend time with other gay men like this. It is often surprisingly refreshing. No experience with circles or men’s work is needed. Just come along and see how it feels. ### Practical details Please bring **€5 to cover the cost of the room** No entry **10 minutes after the start time** We meet **downstairs in the Theatre Room** Ring the **front door bell** to get in (the café is closed on Mondays) If you RSVP and cannot make it, please update your RSVP so someone else can attend.

Diabetes/ChronicPain/HeartHealth/Wellbeing PeerSupport Group. First Meeting
Diabetes/ChronicPain/HeartHealth/Wellbeing PeerSupport Group. First Meeting
This will be our first meeting. The idea is, for a peer support group. To talk about improving our ongoing health issues. Such as. Diabetes Type 1&2. Heart Health/Attack . Blood Pressure. Cholesterol. Preventing And Recovering from Stroke/s. And general well-being. There doesn't seem to be a place to have a coffee and a chat, with other people that have been through a significant event. In particular dealing with Chronic Pain from certain conditions. So the idea is just to have a suportive coffee chat, to talk about what it's like to have a lived experience and dealing with different types of difacult health issues. If the group takes off we will definitely do more of them. It'll be be nice to sit down and have a chat with other people who have been through similar stuff. To maybe support each other, and to help each other with the isolation that sometimes people can feel, that unless you've been through it, it's hard to understand. As the group progresses we will try and adapt to what comes up. And occasionally asked professionals to give advice on various help topics. As long as they're free or at the very least very-low and affordable cost. I personally myself I'm paying a small fortune in the chemist. They wouldn't give me a medical card. For having Diabetes. Just a long-term illness card.

Dublin Book Club: The Midnight Library
Dublin Book Club: The Midnight Library
**📚 Literary Meetup: The Midnight Library by Matt Haig · Come As You Are** We're holding space to explore and discuss Matt Haig's The Midnight Library in a friendly low-key environment, and the whole evening is centred around the book and each other. Discussion flows wherever the group takes it — with every reader given room to share what mattered to them, and even familiar readers find new angles in a good group discussion. Come having read whatever you managed, and bring whatever part of the book you want to talk about, and bring your interpretations — since genuine impressions beat polished opinions every time. This is an open group and new faces are always a good thing — and the group tends to make first-timers feel at ease very quickly, bring your reactions and leave the rest to the discussion, and the discussion gets richer with every new reader who joins. --- **Worth having on hand:** - An open mind and a willingness to debate - A list of moments or lines you want to discuss - A copy of The Midnight Library to reference during discussion **What happens:** 1. Arrive, grab a seat, and introduce yourself if you are new — no icebreakers, just conversation 2. The group digs into the book and the conversation goes wherever it leads 3. The session wraps with a quick note on next month's book 💡 **Helpful hint:** jot down one question you are genuinely curious about, so you have something concrete to anchor your contribution, and the rest of the conversation will take care of itself. --- 🎭 The conversation is always worth the read — join the session and bring your honest take and the conversation is always worth showing up for. See you at the session. 🎭

**The idea for this group is to build a community where men can gather together and build connections & learn and grow from each other.** How we start each meeting is by each of us checking in with our "roses and thorns" aka what are the good things and the bad things going on in your life recently? Then we will go into a topic discussion. \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- **COMMUNITY AGREEMENTS** \*\*THERE WILL BE A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY FOR NO-SHOWS. IF YOU RSVP TO A MEETING AND FAIL TO SHOW UP WITHOUT NOTICE, YOU'LL BE REMOVED FROM THE GROUP. THIS IS TO PRESERVE THE INTEGRITY OF THE GROUP\*\* 1. While we may not agree on everything, we commit to respecting every man’s perspectives and engaging in honorable discussion with one another. 3. Be committed - honor your commitment to this group and to yourself. If you attend a meeting, please commit yourself fully to the meeting. Also be committed to your own journey. Break Up With What Broke You, Columbus, Ohio
Break Up With What Broke You, Columbus, Ohio
On a list of "My Favorite Things", few people would put a "break up" in their top ten. More often, these words evoke feelings of shame, embarrassment, poor choices, and bad or sad endings. Before the new and beautiful can be built, the old, broken, and unnecessary must be cleared away. This process can be painful, but it is good, needful, and can produce wonderful results when done wisely and well. How does one break free from anxiety, comparison, or shame? Christian Bevere points people to the freedom God desires for His children, as well as giving practical ideas on how to shed both unhealthy baggage and the lies that seek to leave us anchored to past failure. Drawing from the Bible, ***Break Up With What Broke You*** clearly shows that what Satan would seek to use for evil, God uses for good and to accomplish His purposes. Join us **Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 6:30 pm**, when we gather at **True Food Kitchen, Easton Town Center, Columbus**. We'd love to see you there! Free In-person Meeting: Unwanted Emotions & Loneliness, How to Get Over Them
Free In-person Meeting: Unwanted Emotions & Loneliness, How to Get Over Them
This is an in-person meeting. Did you know that unwanted emotions like loneliness, sadness, hopelessness, anger, fear, anxiety, or feelings of irritation don’t just fall on you for no reason. They are not random occurrences that simply happen to people's minds. They are definitely not chemical imbalance in your brain due to some nebulous chemical reactions by chance. Your negative emotions are the symptoms of the painful experiences that you have which are not healed, and which are still affecting you. The effects of these painful experiences are exacerbated by the pressures or difficulties of the other problems in your life. For instance, let's say you are already carrying a huge load on your back, then you cannot take on much more, but, let's say something else happens to you, such as the difficulties from the Pandemic, then the resultant combined weight on you can take you over the edge, kind of like the straw that break the camel's back. When this happens, people's attention usually goes to the straw that was added, but actually the majority of the weight had come from the huge load that were already there, holding a person down and causing a person issues. So how do you remove the huge load that was already there? How do you lighten them up? Is it possible to get rid of them? That is what this meeting will be all about. Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life. Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there. This group is created by the Dianetics and Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.
