Greetings writers! Come down and join your fellow wordsmiths for one hour of uninterrupted writing time in the upper level of the Market District Supermarket in Upper Arlington. The main entrance of the shopping center opens onto stairs/elevator leading up to the 2nd floor cafe section where we will have a table displaying a sign with the Shut Up & Write logo. Writing is largely a solitary craft. Practicing with others in a community setting may be the thing you need to fire your own routine. We’ll meet on Wednesday evenings, starting the clock at 6:30, following a brief period of introductions. This is solid writing time and all inclusive. Any project is acceptable, be it fiction, non -fiction, work or homework assignment. All is welcome and will remain private to you. The market boasts a Starbucks, a full service bar and various affordable food options. Parking is plentiful, free Wifi is provided as well as outlets for charging your devices, though they are somewhat limited, so plan accordingly. Show up as early as you like, or stay late. This group tends to socialize some, both before and after the alloted time, but this is not mandatory to you. Feel free to come and go as you please and late arrivals are welcome. The cafe may be noisy on occasion so headphones/ earbuds are reccommended as you see fit. Please try to RSVP if possible so that we may grab enough seats for all—the venue can be busy at times. This is "***New Members Night***." If you are one of the many folks on the fence about coming to your first wine tasting with the *Hilliard Wine Club*, this is the night to come. There will be many other new people, so you won't be alone. And the regulars will be there to help make you feel welcome. We're a relaxed and warm group. We hope to see you. **SIDE NOTE:** New members are welcome to ALL our Friday night wine tastings, but this night is a special overture to those who don't want to feel that they are the only new person in the room. Don't worry. You won't be. And don't hesitate to RSVP to other events. **OLD MEMBERS NOTE**: Hey Old Members! You're not excluded from this event. We expect to see you there to help make the new members feel welcome. **Sample 4 different wines** this Friday for $15 (*Cash or Venmo only please*). Glasses are provided. Bring a snack to share. Bring your ***cash*** as the Queen does not accept American Express or other plastic. **After the lights go out**: After the last sip of wine, when we clean up and turn the lights out, if you still haven’t had enough of us, it is typical for a group to get together and go to a local eatery for food and/or drinks or coffee. Come hang out for a Game Night at Pins and Mikey’s on New Year’s Eve Wednesday, December 31st @10pm. This will be at the Dublin Location! I’m sure it will be PACKED, if that is not your scene, this is likely not for you. Pins might have a ball drop playing on the tvs, hopefully they do. We didn’t rent lanes, so you can pay what you want and play what you want. We start meeting at 10pm but you can show up whenever, just message on the event that you are here and someone will come find you. I will also post updates for attendees about where we are as the night goes on. Below are the prices you can expect for the games at Pins, many are free: 🎳 Duckpin - $9 per person per game. Miniature bowling and the main attraction. Pinball - $1 per game. ⚽️ Foosball - 50 cents per game. 🏓 Ping Pong - 25 cents self serve per game. (sometimes this is free when you get there honestly) 🕹️👾Arcade - free Patio Pong - free. Like the cup pong drinking game, but giant. ⭕️ Hookie - free. You throw rings onto hooks, it’s like darts but safer apparently. 🪵 Giant Jenga - free. Jenga but larger. Plus we have Mikey’s right next door! It is even accessible from inside Pins. Mikeys has two Vegan pizzas, a pepperoni and a bbq chiken. I know you can also bring outside food at this location so don’t hesitate to bring anything you’d like. Just no outside drinks! 🅿️ There are multiple free multi-level parking garages, such as the Longshore, Mooney, and Howe garages. As well as street parking. Lastly, FYI, Pins is always 21+ after 9pm for anyone who planned to bring someone younger than that. I think that covers everything. So yeah! Come celebrate, hang out, and vibe if you want! It can get competitive when it comes to games, so come ready to win!! 😤😆

Join us at Easton Town Center for a casual evening of board gaming. Play from our library or bring one of your favorites to share. We usually bring along Catan, Ticket to Ride, Cascadia, etc... We'll be set up at the Donatos Pizza Party Room. It was free for us to reserve, but you may want to buy a drink or go in on a pizza. Why Easton? Although there aren't any board game stores / cafes here, it's a nice area. More importantly, this event coincides with LifeTime Fitness Parent's Night Out, so our kid will get babysat. If you happen to be a member of Lifetime you too can get free babysitting and play some games.
