Entering our 10th year, this group has been running weekly events intended for Dad's who are also board game enthusiasts. Please see our photo gallery for a sample of the games we play. We do not typically table mass market games (Chess, Clue, Monopoly etc.) We often table a variety of games, new and old, to keep things fresh. It is not required that you bring any games yourself, although it is appreciated if you do. In that case, please be prepared to teach whichever games you bring. Please do your best to support our excellent hosts for the past 3 years, Temple Bar Oakville. The focus for each event is to have fun so please adhere to our event etiquette (Jan 2026): 1. Please show up on time (we usually start the non-filler games right when the event starts). 2. Please only attend an event if you've already **RSVP'd**. Please change your **RSVP** status if you have to cancel (we typically wait a bit if we think you're stuck in traffic). 3. Please be kind to other players at your table: * No excessively long turns * No silly arguments over rules (if there's ambiguity, just agree on something temporarily for the evening) * No rolling back your moves in previous turns 4. You can invite a non-Dad guest every now and then but they cannot be a regular member of the group. 5. Please leave the arguments about politics at home. 6. The Board Games event is a fun, sociable and charitable event We are a fun, friendly and kind group of people mostly in our 20s, 30s and 40s. Beginners are welcome! We are a very inclusive and social group and we teach people how to play games they have not played before :) We provide a variety of 40+ board games. Smaller group on a small field, recreational, low level, only very small group. It's a smaller field, usually, we play 4 on 4 or max 5 on 5. No subs. Outdoor turf and free soccer event, . The event is none competitive soccer for low levels only, the game should be easy and fun, so we can get little bit sweat while enjoy the weather. This is no contact soccer, We should have have another what's app group of friends joining us on the soccer field, all you need to bring is good spirit and your own water. should be lots parking around the school and it's few mins walk from the subway station, once you get there, we will be gathered on the field. Join us as we get together to get together to help those in need at this CMG Gives Back event! We have a great little community of Movie Group friends so rather than see a movie this time, we’ll help “create a better world” by helping serve those in need. Here are complete details and our plan for this event: FAITH MISSION – GRANT KITCHEN: The Faith Mission kitchen and dining room serves residents 3 meals a day, every day of the year. For this event, our group will help prepare food, serve meals, assist residents in the dining room, wash dishes, and clean surfaces. PLAN: We will be preparing / serving / cleaning for BRUNCH from 10:30am to 12:30pm and have space for a total of 7 volunteers. Please arrive at 10:20am and wear closed-toe shoes and long pants. LOCATION: Faith Mission – Grant Kitchen is located at 245 N. Grant Ave. Enter the kitchen at Dock 1 (in the back of the building), indicated in the attached map. On-site parking in the adjacent lot and street parking is available in the surrounding area.
