Damian Clark facilitates a ‘North Fitzroy Men’s walk and talk group’ for men in the inner city and northern suburbs interested in connecting with other men to develop meaningful and supportive connections, with the added health benefits of a walk in nature. The walks are supported by Holden Street Neighbourhood House - contact (03) 9489 9929 or admin@holdenstreet.org.au for queries. The walks are run FREE of charge on the 1st Saturday of each of month at 8.am. The walk will commence at the Holden Street Neighbourhood House then proceed to take in Park Street and Rushall Reserves in Fitzroy North. The group is for men of all ages. The benefits from participating in the men’s walk and talk group are: 1. A safe space to connect with other men. 2. Opportunity to be genuinely listened to. 3. Chance to express your feelings and thoughts free from judgement and criticism. 4. Make valuable and lasting friendships.

This match is strictly for 18 years and older players at the Advanced level. Please register to play so everyone knows the approximate numbers. Please arrive on time to lend a hand in setting up the goals. If you arrive late, you may need to wait to substitute in or create a new game with others using available cones. Please have the courtesy to de-register if you are unable to attend at all. Please wear a black or white top, or bring both. It is up to you to manage your own risk of injury, as this is social and free. We recommend shin guards and do NOT condone sliding tackles and over-aggressiveness. If you have a size 5 soccer ball, then please bring it along. Pump it up to 8 psi beforehand or ask around for a pump. Please place your possessions in a safe place while the game is running. Your possessions are your own responsibility. Post-match, please help with packing up the goals, bibs and cones. 2-3 people per goal makes very light work and only takes 3 minutes. Welcome to the day before the clocks change! Bring your own book, read in silence, and we'll gather afterwards for a chat about what we enjoyed. **ITINERARY** 11am: Meet at the lawn outside Kere Kere Green Cafe next to the visitor information centre at Fitzroy Gardens. Find a cosy spot to read. Depending on the weather, you might want to sit inside the cafe or take your book for a meander around the park. 12.15pm: Meet back on the lawn to chat about your book. 1pm: End of event. [OPTIONAL EXTRA] For those who are not too tired, we can go for lunch together after the event. **Note:** Feel free to bring your deck chair / picnic mat, whatever you need to feel comfy. Coffee and lunch can be purchased from the cafe. If you're running late, look for us at 12.15pm on the lawn outside Kere Kere Green Cafe. There is an organizer fee of $5 for this event. Friendly game of five a side indoor football (soccer). Indoor trainers/boots. No studs. Played on timber floor. Bibs will be supplied. Game Rules: Kick ins from the side. Goal keeper must throw the ball out when the ball goes behind. No slide tackles. After each goal a spot kick is taken and the opposing team must stand behind the white line (you'll understand when you get there). Keeper rotates every 6 minutes. If you need to pull out of the game for any reason, please RSVP no and then message the event so that another can potentially fill your spot. Please note that you should do this at least 48 hours (the sooner the better) before the game to allow the chance for someone to take your spot. If we are unable to fill the spot then I will not be able to refund you. Thank you.

Registering = agreeing to them+++** **🚉 Meeting Options** - 11:00 a.m. at Sandringham Station — gather, stretch, flirt, admire each other’s hats. Try to arrive by 10.45 a m. In person peer-led support group for survivors of complex trauma
**Complex Trauma Support Group** Our group is intended for survivors of complex trauma. If you are here, it’s likely that so much of who you are and what you have experienced in this life is actually invisible to most people––to family, society, coworkers, and the people who are around you. We are a peer-led group of survivors creating opportunities for ourselves and others to share our experiences, share support, and build relationships in kind community together. Survivor experiences might include: child sexual abuse, incest, child trafficking, and other experiences of people living with traumatic dissociation and complex PTSD. **What to expect at your first meeting:** Currently, we are offering a bi-monthly in person group at 2:00pm on the first and third Sunday of the month. The only criterion for joining the group is that you are a survivor of trauma wishing to have more kindness in your own life and share kindness with others, and that you agree to practice to group’s relational agreements available for view here: https://www.kindgroups.com/agreements. Joining the group is free of charge. We ask that new people connect with us for 30 minutes on the phone or on zoom before coming to their first group, so that we can determine together that we are a good fit. Our meetings last approximately 90 minutes. Participants are never required to share. You’re also welcome to choose a pseudonym and you will never be asked for private information. You are welcome to leave at any time. The kindness that survivors can share when among others who have survived similar childhood experiences is something we rarely get to experience. Time spent with others who understand even a little bit more about us is a relief. Our hope is to help ourselves and others experience that we are not alone.
