This month for English Party, April 18th, we are continuing the trend of trying something different. Since February’s outdoor game afternoon and March’s potluck were such successes, we are including some aspects from each of those days: We’ll have a craft afternoon (or “Crafternoon”) in Inés de Suárez Park (I'll share our exact location in the free WhatsApp group), at 1pm. Everyone brings their own picnic blanket to sit on, a packed lunch/snack, and a craft they are working on, to do “companionable crafting” - meaning everyone works on their own project and we sit and talk together at the same time. You could bring a sketchbook to draw, watercolors, knitting/crocheting, even a hand-sewing project. Anything that is portable and not too complicated or messy. If you are not into crafts but want to come and hang out, you are more than welcome! I think that this will be a fun, relaxing change of pace from the games we usually play! If you enjoy knitting, crocheting, working with yarn, this is the group for you. Meet new friends, bring your projects, learn from others.
We normally meet a few times a month during the week from 6-8pm. We will occasionally meet on weekends during daytime hours.

Private Group. Closed to the Public Knowing ourselves and understanding our abilities is the first step toward wielding our gifts with control and accuracy. In subsequent classes we will verify and hone our talents with activities and discussion. These are hands-on workshops and participation is expected. The goal of our series will be to develop expertise in areas of particular interest such as mediumship, channeling, divination, healing and, etc.. We’re bringing back Adult Field Day. Last year was a good mix of competition and just hanging out, so we’re doing it again with some new games mixed in. Think team-based challenges, simple races, and a few things inspired by game shows. You don’t need to be athletic. Most of the fun is just being part of a team and getting to know people you wouldn’t normally talk to. The goal isn’t really winning. It’s meeting people, laughing a bit, and leaving knowing a few more names than when you showed up. If you stick around after, we’ll have a potluck, a bonfire, and a couple comedians in the evening. Bring: * Something to share for the potluck * Clothes you can move around in A small contribution helps keep events sustainable and ensures those who RSVP actually show up.
