Welcome to Toastmasters Business Club Slovenia, a **safe and friendly** place where you can practice your speaking skills and develop leadership skills essential for success in business and career. **What to Expect at Our Meeting** Our meetings are conducted in **English** and follow a dynamic and engaging structure: 1️⃣ Prepared Speeches – Members deliver speeches on any topic they choose. 2️⃣ Impromptu Speaking (Table Topics) – A fun, short-form speaking challenge. New guests are welcome to try it out or simply observe. 3️⃣ Evaluations & Feedback – Speakers receive supportive and helpful feedback to grow. **Optional bonus sessions:** 4️⃣ Ideas to Practice – Mini workshops or demo presentations by members. 5️⃣ Member for Member – A “pitch-style” segment where members (and occasionally guests) can present their ideas, businesses, or projects. The topic for April is "Water" Speak Easy: true stories, told live. The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast. Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect.
