Sira leads a multidisciplinary team of experts in synthetic biology, engineering and data science, united by a shared vision to transform aquaculture through innovation. By combining biotechnology, environmental monitoring and advanced data systems, the team develops technologies that enable earlier disease detection, more stable production and more sustainable aquaculture operations. Sira was selected as a recipient of the Women TechEU programme, an initiative by the European Commission supporting leading women-founded deep tech startups across Europe. Her work focuses on combining biotechnology, data and environmental monitoring to improve productivity and sustainability in aquaculture systems. **Joy Awad – Applying AI to Scientific and Biomedical Data** Joy Awad is a Senior Artificial Intelligence Engineer at Biorce. She holds a master’s degree in computer science and engineering and specialises in machine learning, deep learning and the broader field of artificial intelligence. With a strong foundation in mathematics, programming and critical thinking, she brings practical experience to research and development projects involving complex data and advanced computational methods. At Biorce, Joy works on applying artificial intelligence to scientific and biomedical data, helping transform complex datasets into systems that can support research and decision-making. Buenas! (English below) Cada día aparecen formas nuevas de aprender español, (y otros idiomas) apps nuevas, métodos de gramática, IA, videos de profes explicando cosas, y están todas genial. Si te ayudan a entender más y a hablar mejor están genial. El plan de este grupo es mejorar tu español con juegos, actividades reales y ejercicios para hablar más. Con la excusa de los juegos y las actividades corregimos la mayoría de errores: Palabras difíciles, confundir pasados, preposiciones, verbos que significan muchas cosas, ser y estar en pasado, frases con dos verbos o mas, subjuntivo, expresiones coloquiales, y también los errores "culturales”: ¿De que forma usamos los españoles el idioma en diferentes situaciones? La gente que participa es (casi siempre) muy simpática, y normalmente deja reviews muy positivas de las clases. Si te cuadra el plan ven a practicar tu español y hablamos de comida, de viajes, de trabajo, de cultura, de Internet, de temas locales, de noticias y de muchas más cosas. All the games and activities are a good excuse to correct the most difficult/ frequent mistakes: Difficult words, confusing past tenses, prepositions, verbs that mean many things, ser and estar in the past, sentences with two or more verbs, subjuntive, colloquial expressions, and also “cultural" mistakes: How we, Spanish people, use the language in different situations?
