Austin Commercial Real Estate SuperLadies Meetup Group
Austin Commercial Real Estate SuperLadies Meetup Group
This month (April) topic: **From Dirt to Deals: How We Turn Raw Land into Cash Flow (RV Parks, Subdivisions & Passive Income** This month, we’re going deeper into something most investors never see: 👉 How raw land turns into real income. In the past few months, our team has: ✅ Successfully gotten an RV Park approved (one of the hardest approvals to achieve) ✅ Approved a 61-acre subdivision with buyers already reserving lots ✅ Structured deals designed for both active and passive investors These are not theoretical deals. These are real projects happening right now. *** ### 💡 What You’ll Learn: • How we identify land with hidden upside • The exact steps to get approvals (and why this creates massive value) • How these projects generate cash flow and profit • Why many investors are shifting from long-term equity to income-focused strategies • How you can participate — actively or passively *** ### 👩‍💼 Who This Is For: This meetup is ideal for: • Women interested in real estate investing (beginner to advanced) • Investors looking for passive income opportunities • Professionals who want to scale beyond single-family rentals • Anyone curious about land, RV parks, Retail Centre or development *** ### ⚠️ Important: This is not a “sit and listen” seminar. This is a **high-value, interactive meetup** where we: * Share real deals * Exchange ideas * Connect with serious investors *** ### 🤝 What Makes This Group Different: SuperLadies is not just about real estate. It’s about building wealth, confidence, and a powerful network of women who invest together. *** ### 📍 Come Ready To: ✔ Learn from real case studies ✔ Ask questions ✔ Meet like-minded investors ✔ Explore real opportunities *** ### 🔥 Bonus: We’ll also briefly share how some investors are earning **consistent returns through real estate-backed strategies**, without managing properties. Look forward to seeing you there! ============================================================== Kudos to the SuperLadies! This is a Monthly event. We meet in person to share resources & information and to discuss and solve problems we have in commercial real estate investments. Since we are a very small group of dedicated and passionate female real estate investors, we are committed to being honest and open to each other, and what we discuss stays inside the group only. Any ladies who have an interest in commercial real estate investment (passively or actively) and would like to share their experience and resources are welcome to join us. We will meet in different fancy places and even combine with other fun educational and networking events to make the SuperLadies better, happier, and wealthier every day and every week! Agenda (subject to change): 1:30pm - 3:30pm Lunch and network Self-Introductions Your background and current job; Your interest in investing; What you can provide value to and what you are looking for, etc. Share your investing experience - good or bad; passive or active investing; Bring your deals - we can review and analyze them together. The Origin of Empire: Rome from the Republic to Hadrian
The Origin of Empire: Rome from the Republic to Hadrian
Join us over food and drinks to discuss the book, “The Origin of Empire: Rome from the Republic to Hadrian.” Description of book: Beginning with the Roman army’s first foray beyond its borders and concluding with the death of Hadrian in 138 CE, this panoramic history of the early Roman Empire recounts the wars, leaders, and social transformations that lay the foundations of imperial success. Between 264 BCE, when the Roman army crossed into Sicily, and the death of Hadrian nearly three hundred years later, Rome became one of the most successful multicultural empires in history. In this vivid guide to a fascinating period, David Potter explores the transformations that occurred along the way, as Rome went from republic to mercenary state to bureaucratic empire, from that initial step across the Straits of Messina to the peak of territorial expansion. Rome was shaped by endless political and diplomatic jockeying. As other Italian city-states relinquished sovereignty in exchange for an ironclad guarantee of protection, Rome did not simply dominate its potential rivals―it absorbed them by selectively offering citizenship and constructing a tiered membership scheme that allowed Roman citizens to maintain political control without excluding noncitizens from the state’s success. Potter attributes the empire’s ethnic harmony to its relative openness. This imperial policy adapted and persisted over centuries of internal discord. The fall of the republican aristocracy led to the growth of mercenary armies and to the creation of a privatized and militarized state that reached full expression under Julius Caesar. Subsequently, Augustus built a mighty bureaucracy, which went on to manage an empire ruled by a series of inattentive, intemperate, and bullying chief executives. As contemporary parallels become hard to ignore, The Origin of Empire makes clear that the Romans still have much to teach us about power, governance, and leadership. Look for the group with lights and a sign.

🌊 Morning Walk at Lake Pflugerville
🌊 Morning Walk at Lake Pflugerville
Join us for a peaceful morning walk around beautiful Lake Pflugerville — one of Austin's most scenic spots just a short drive from the city. This is one of our favorite routes: flat, shaded in stretches, and just the right length for good conversation and a natural reset. Whether you're a regular or joining us for the first time, you'll find easy company and a warm pace. Here's what to expect: **The Trail:** It's a 2.9-mile loop with only about 42 feet of elevation gain — essentially flat the whole way. The surface starts as concrete near the main entrance and transitions to decomposed granite, making it easy for walkers of all paces. **Sun Exposure** The trail has lot's of sun exposure, so sunscreen and a hat is recommended. **The Vibe:** It's a wide, well-maintained path shared by walkers, runners, cyclists, and dog lovers. All paces welcome. We walk, we talk, we breathe fresh air. Come as you are. 📍 18216 Weiss Ln, Pflugerville, TX 78660 🥾 Meet at the large pavillion just across from the main parking lot 💧 Bring a water bottle if desired 👟 Sturdy sneakers recommended By submitting your RSVP to one of our walks, you are agreeing that you have read and understand the [Release of Liability.](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1zbJd9vBdM-kNFoVQaL5_nOssZhafCL1MY6IuFRR3DJE/edit?usp=sharing)

Recruiting Virtual Mental Health Group Leaders!
We are recruiting new group leaders for virtual men's groups! Our primary groups are outdoor movement groups, but we are launching virtual groups for the state of Ohio and beyond and the groups will move outside in the spring, creating room for men's groups, women's groups and coed groups all over the country. Read below to learn about our groups and click the links at the bottom to apply. ### **What is an Outdoor Empowerment Group?** Our Outdoor Movement & Community Empowerment Groups are simple, guided experiences designed to help people reconnect with nature, themselves, and others. We combine some form of movement (hike, walk, run, bike, yoga, workout) and meaningful conversation within a simple community circle to create a space where individuals can support each other while prioritizing mental and physical well-being. Whether you’re seeking stress relief, personal growth, or community, our groups offer everyone a unique and welcoming environment. ## **Why Join?** * **Improve Mental & Physical Well-Being** – Movement, nature, and supportive conversations reduce stress and promote balance. * **Feel Less Alone** – Build genuine connections with like-minded people in a safe, welcoming space. * **Gain Clarity & Perspective** – Step outside daily routines and into a space designed for personal growth and reflection. ## **The Ideal Group Leader** The ideal group leader * Has a born-in passion for mental health, movement, connecting with nature and building community. * Has 5 extra hours per week to dedicate to a meaningful cause for at least one year. Yes, you can leave any organization at any time and we can also ask you to leave, but we are building with legacy in mind and we need people who can commit and be ALL IN on this mission to build with us. * Is independently financially stable with the ability to volunteer with no expectation of pay. This is a deeply beautiful journey of service that all participants commit to at Speak Your Mind. * An ability to manage groups with high emotional intelligence and desire for human connection. * An ability to self-motivate and market/promote their group on Facebook and other social platforms. * Nature informed therapy or clinical therapists/psychologists a plus. ## **Our Impact** ![](https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/64a6315db1eb8d081603d9ea/028252c7-347e-4196-8c79-b81d2a4db4bb/Mountaineering+Guide+Trifold+Brochure+in+Pink+White+Modern+Minimalist+Style+-+2.jpg) Since launching, we have helped thousands find support, connection, and healing through our Outdoor Movement Groups. 100% of participants surveyed have reported: * A noticeable improvement in mental clarity and emotional well-being. * An increase in social connection and a sense of belonging. * Said they would return again. We believe mental health should be accessible, community-driven, and rooted in nature. Join us and take the first step toward a more connected, grounded, and supported version of yourself. ### **Why Our Groups are Donation-Based** Our Outdoor Movement Groups are made possible through a donation-based model. This approach allows us to keep our events accessible to everyone, regardless of financial circumstances, while also ensuring that we can continue expanding our reach. It’s a great way to pay it forward and support the growth of this beautiful mission! Every contribution helps us: * **Cover Essential Costs** – Donations allow us to pay essential legal, marketing, insurance, and admin costs as well as nourish the important people who run the organization. * **Grow Our Mission** – With your support, we can bring these healing experiences to thousands more people in the future and execute our long term plan to expand across the USA, affecting up to 500,000 people per year. By choosing to contribute, you’re not just leading an event—you’re helping build a mental health movement that supports long-term well-being and connection for all during a severe mental health epidemic. ## **Come Join Us!** We’d love to have you be part of this growing community of people prioritizing their mental health, movement, and connection. 🔹 **Visit Our Website to Learn More:** https://speakyourmind.men/joinusoutside 🔹 **Apply Here to Lead Your Own Group!** – https://form.jotform.com/taketimespeakyourmind/sym-group-leader-application 🔹 **Support the mission**: If you resonate with the mission and want to support, feel free to join a group before applying or donate to help us reach our goals to help more people! Hike Blacklick Woods and The Canopy. Optional lunch after.
Hike Blacklick Woods and The Canopy. Optional lunch after.
Over time I'm hoping to organize a hike to all the Franklin County Metro Parks. This is the first one so if you're interested jump in! We'll start with the Canopy Walk, a cool feature of this park. Climb 100 stairs to the top - or take the elevator if stairs aren't your thing. At the top there are a bunch of things to play on - a rope bridge, a fireman pole that we can slide down - and more! About fifteen minutes there and we'll head to the natural trail, Buttonbush, Maple and Beech Trail for 2.2 miles then do a 1.7 mile loop on the paved Greenway Trail. We'll be passing our cars as we transition if you only want to do the first loop, or the second loop. Pace of around 3.5 mph but no one left behind. If there is an interest we can grab lunch nearby afterward.
The Story So Far: A WiA Reflection Circle
The Story So Far: A WiA Reflection Circle
A WiA Collective Wisdom Exchange At the start of this year, we gathered to look back, set intentions, and imagine the next chapter. This is the follow-up. Not a check-in. Not a progress report. A small, facilitated circle to reconnect with what you said mattered — and honestly explore what’s actually happening now. Together, we’ll explore: • What you intended at the start of this year - and what that looks like three months in • What’s surprised you, supported you, or shifted • What the next chapter needs now that you know what you know If you were at our January gathering, bring whatever you made or wrote — your word, your artifact, your intention. We’ll look at it with fresh eyes. If this is your first time, you belong here too. You’ll start where we all started: with what’s true right now. Optional art materials will be available for anyone who wants to reflect creatively alongside conversation. If you brought something home from January, you’re warmly invited to bring it back. The intention is the same as always: everyone leaves feeling more clear, more connected, and a little lighter. Space is intentionally limited to keep the experience intimate. What to Expect • A small, welcoming circle (not a large meetup) • Structured conversation so everyone has space to speak • Reflection, listening, and lived experience — not advice-giving • Optional creative reflection alongside conversation • A calm, supportive environment Who This Is For Women and underrepresented folks working in or around agile, product, technology, leadership, or organizational change — especially those looking for honest conversation and community beyond frameworks and buzzwords. Good to Know • No preparation required • If you attended in January, we invite you to bring anything you created or wrote (or something that represents your intention at the start of the year) - it’s optional but invited • Participation is invitational; listening is always welcome • Creative activities are optional
