Valle del Genal Tropical valleys!

Just north of Estepona lies the majestic Genal valley deep in the Serranía de Ronda, an area declared as a UNESCO Biosphere reserve.

Our trail takes us through chestnut forests within a hidden tropical landscape! Walking through this historically deep region of mountain white villages, famous for its bohemian art work, from incredible street art murals to the pueblos sculptures. Starting in the incredible restaurant of Venta San de Juan, a rustic quirky fully traditional venta on the banks of the Rio Genal.

From mountain ibex casually climbing the steep sides of these tropical ravines to the highest known breeding density in the world for the Bonelli's Eagle, with crystal clear mountain rivers the Genal valley is a sight to be seen..

The wild rugged tropical region of the Serranía de Ronda really shows what the Andalusian outback has to offer..!

•KIT TO BE TAKEN -
Light weight breathable trousers or shorts, breathable t-shirt, hat to keep the sun off from head, sunblock.
•Hiking shoes or trail running trainers, trainers are adequate for this trek but hiking shoes will be more comfortable. Swim kit is optional to cool off in the river!
•Small rucksack to carry water
•Try and travel light, I use a 4K GoPro 5 which takes excellent professional photos and videos throughout the trek.
