Esta vez iremos de excursión a Buitrago de Lozoya, otra ciudad medieval con una de las mejores murallas de España y Europa, además de algunas rutas y vistas increíbles. Caminaremos casi todo el recorrido bajo la sombra de un bosque de pinos, parte del camino junto al río Lozoya, y visitaremos un mirador desde donde admirar la muralla medieval al completo de la ciudad, sus calles y su castillo.
En medio de la excursión, haremos un picnic para descansar, comer y disfrutar de las vistas junto al río. Antes de regresar a Madrid, también podremos disfrutar de una bebida en una de las terrazas del pueblo.
Esta es una ruta de nivel fácil, de aproximadamente 14 km, por lo que todos son bienvenidos.★★ ¡VAMOS! ★★

Let’s discover together the fun side of Madrid by visiting these incredible places in the company of interesting people who live in Madrid. We will be able to speak other languages and enjoy nature.
This time we will hike to Buitrago de Lozoya, another medieval city with one of the best walls in Spain and Europe, as well as some incredible routes and views. We will walk almost the entire route under the shade of a pine forest, part of the way next to the Lozoya River, and we will visit a viewpoint from where we can admire the entire medieval wall of the city, its streets and its castle.
In the middle of the excursion, we will have a picnic to rest, eat and enjoy the views along the river. Before returning to Madrid, we can also enjoy a drink on one of the town’s terraces.
This is an easy level route, approximately 12 km, so everyone is welcome.

Vamos a descubrir juntos el lado salvaje de Madrid haciendo senderismo en estos increíbles paisajes con personas de todo el mundo mientras practicamos otros idiomas y disfrutamos de la naturaleza.
En esta nueva aventura, iremos desde Madrid hasta Guadalajara, visitando lugares históricos como el embalse más antiguo de Madrid: el Pontón de la Oliva, construido por prisioneros a mediados del siglo XIX.
Durante esta ruta, disfrutaremos de hermosas vistas de lugares tan desconocidos como este, hasta llegar a un paisaje increíble de otro mundo: Las Carcavas de Valdepeñas, en Guadalajara. Algunas formaciones creadas por la erosión causada por el agua en suelos arcillosos rojizos.
En medio del recorrido, tendremos un picnic para descansar, comer y disfrutar del área antes de iniciar nuestro regreso.

In this new adventure, we will go from Madrid to Guadalajara, visiting historical places such as the oldest reservoir in Madrid: the Pontón de la Oliva, built by prisoners in the mid-nineteenth century.

Podrás practicar otros idiomas y disfrutar de la naturaleza.Esta ruta comenzará en el histórico pueblo de Guadarrama, que deriva de “Uad-er-ramel” (río de arena en árabe), fundado durante la ocupación musulmana de la Península. Nos adentraremos un precioso bosque de pinos albares y resineros, donde sentiremos el poder de la naturaleza que nos rodea, las maravillosas vistas y el aire fresco. En esta época ya empieza a asomar la primavera y las plantas empiezan a florecer. En nuestro caminos de flores y jaras, veremos los restos de la Ermita de San Macario, único vestigio del pueblo de La Herrería, desaparecido durante el siglo XVII. Finalmente llegaremos al conocido embalse de La Jarosa con impresionantes vistas.
A la mitad del recorrido, haremos un picnic para descansar, comer y disfrutar las vistas y empezar nuestro retorno.

This route will begin in the historic town of Guadarrama, whose name derives from “Uad-er-ramel” (river of sand in Arabic), founded during the Muslim occupation of the Peninsula. We will enter a beautiful pine forest, where we will feel the energy of nature surrounding us while enjoying the amazing views and fresh air. This is the perfect season to escape the heat and hectic life of the city. On our colorful trail, we will see the remains of the Hermitage of San Macario, the only vestige of the town of La Herrería, which disappeared during the 17th century.
Finally we will arrive at the well-known La Jarosa reservoir/lake with impressive views.
In the middle of the tour, we will have a picnic to rest, eat and enjoy the area and begin our return.

This Sunday we will do one of the most beautiful hiking trails in the mountains of Madrid, through the beautiful area surrounding the mythical village of Cercedilla north of Madrid. From the viewpoint known as El Mirador de los Poetas, we can enjoy the views of Siete Picos, a massif also known as La Sierra del Dragón, the waters of the Pradillo River, the Camino del Agua and a majestic forest of pines and oaks.
