Join our next Unreal User Group Vienna Meetup on Tuesday, March 17 at 18:30.
Please cancel your reservation if you registered but can't make it.
Talk: Sharing Memories from the Global Game Jam 2026by Thomas Fürst, Nana Zhang, Florin Gorgos, and Clemens Scharfen

The event is sponsored by the TU Wien Alumni Club (thank you very much!) and will take place at their facilities. The address is, Resselgasse 5, 1040, Vienna, easily accessible via the underground (U1, U2, U4) stop Karlsplatz, exit Resselpark. Take the front entry and ring the bell at the Alumni Club Store.
Please note that we are guests at their office, so please treat the space and everyone there with respect and care.
If you want to do a talk, please let us know. Also, feel free to bring your laptop or handheld to show and talk about your Unreal project, problems you deal with, or recent learnings. (An HDMI cable will be provided.) Afterwards we plan to move on to have a drink and enjoy the rest of the evening.
There can be 17 participants per meetup, due to a limitation of space. If you reserved your spot and can‘t make it, don‘t worry, but please cancel your reservation to allow others to come instead.
The Meetup is free of charge. If you follow us to a public space for drinks afterwards, please make sure to pay what you consumed at the pub / restaurant.

Thomas Fürst - Simuverse (Technical Artist)
Thomas Fürst is a Technical Artist with focus on procedural workflows and realtime VFX. He currently works on simulation games at Simuverse and has previously contributed to several VR and AR experiences as a freelancer.
Nana Zhang - TU Vienna (MSc Student)
Renate „Nana“ Zhang is currently a Master of Science student in Media and Human-Centered Computing at the Technical University of Vienna and a prospecting PhD Student at Aarhus University in Denmark. Her research focuses on designing better and more intuitive interaction systems for Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR) environments.
Florin Gorgos
Florin Gorgos is a composer and music producer from Vienna who works at the intersection of music and technology—with projects such as GrooveDeck (Sony CSL, CultTech), iGhosts (AR), and work in film music and advertising (Red Bull, Symphonic Peaks II, among others).
Clemens Scharfen - Snap Inc (Software Engineer)
Clemens is an experienced C++ engineer with a passion for cutting edge technologies focusing on AR & VR. Currently he is a software engineer at Snap Inc, where he works on the Specs AR Glasses. In the past decade he worked in the field of game development and media art, mainly working on VR games and experiences using Unreal Engine and Unity. He is always interested in learning new things …

Clemens is an experienced C++ engineer with a passion for cutting edge technologies focusing on AR & VR. Currently he is a software engineer at Snap Inc, where he works on the Specs AR Glasses.
