Book Lovers’ Open Mic

🎤 Book Lovers Valencia hosts an Open Mic. Night for Writers on the last Thursday of every month.

Come listen to writers in Valencia share their work, or join as a writer yourself.

We invite writers of all genres — poetry, fiction, and nonfiction — to take the stage and read your work. Whether you’ve got a short story you’ve been refining, a new chapter of the book you’ve been working on, a personal essay that’ll break our hearts and make us laugh, or a spoken word poem that’s dying to be heard, our warm and supportive audience wants to hear it.

📋 Want to read? Arrive early and get your name on the list! Our wonderful host, Alexey, will be there to guide you.

⏰ Seating is limited so come around 7:00 p.m. to get settled and secure a seat and/or reading slot.
Readings begin at 7:30 p.m.

🍷 There will be a 10-minute intermission halfway through, perfect for schmoozing or ingesting some liquid courage. Wine and non-alcoholic beverages will be available.

🏆 At the end, the audience will vote on their favourite piece and the winner will win a little prize.

🪭 Remember to bring a fan to help keep cool. We'll have fans running too, but we don't have AC (yet).
