### An English-language non-fiction book club for entrepreneurs in Valencia.

This is our first meeting together. We will learn a bit about each other's businesses and decide which book we are starting with.

The idea is to create a supportive growth-focused environment for entrepreneurs where we discuss non-fiction books together and then apply those lessons to our businesses.

Date: First Friday of every month (first meeting is 6th February)
Time: 17:30-19:00

#### Requirements

• You must run a real business with paying clients (the business can be based anywhere, mine is fully remote for example).
• You must be committed to show up in person every month and be willing to contribute to discussions.

#### Key information

• Internationals welcomed but we will pick primarily English language books and all discussions will be held in English.
• Free to attend.
• You get 2 months to read each book. I know being a business owner is busy.
• Meetings will alternate - month 1 is to discuss the book, month 2 is to discuss how well we each implemented the lessons from it. Month 3 will be a new book, month 4 discussion, etc.
• No unsolicited pitches. You will get a structured opportunity to share what you do reasonably regularly.
• Ideally service-based businesses (coaches, agencies, etc) so our collective insights better apply for each other.
• I’d prefer to welcome mostly lifestyle businesses. People that want to build businesses that make them happy and fulfilled, not just filthy rich. Money is good, but balance matters.
• Core membership is capped at 12 for the moment. As of writing, we already have 4 signed up.

The club will decide on the books together but in general think along the lines of:

#### Who’s running the club?

The business book club is run by me, John Munn, an established business consultant specialising in helping people run 6-figure businesses by working less than 20h per week. I also run an environmental social enterprise. I am originally from the UK and have lived in Valencia since 2020. You may have met me if you ever attended the big board game event in El Garaje between 2021 and 2023 as I started and ran that too.

#### First meeting

The first meeting will be held at 17:30-19:00 Friday 6th February at Veneno House in Russafa. During this meeting everyone will meet to get to know each other, we will decide on the first book, and we will set the date for the regular meetings from March onwards.
