Hike to Almenara and lunch in a local delicious Pizzeria

Hike : Almenara. Cueva de los Murciélagos. Castillo y Torres. Marjal y Estanys de Almenara.

Elevation gain: 738 ft / 224 m

Please arrive by 08.45 am at Valencia Nord train station (right in front of the station under the clock) where we shall take the 9:20 am Train to Almenara. You will buy a return ticket to Almenara.

We'll arrive at 10:05 to Almenara. From the Station will walk up to the hill and visit "Cueva de los Murciélagos" and the castle ruins. From there we'll walk down the hill to the "Marjal y Estanys de Almenara" (Marshes and ponds). Beautiful views and nature.

We should finish by 13:30. Then, people can either return back to Valencia (Next Trains to Valencia at 13:56) or they can join us for lunch at a local restaurant. After Lunch we'll go back to Valencia (Trains at 17:01 and then every hour aproximately).

Risks for All walks: Please dress appropriately for weather conditions and carry a bottle of water and necessary medication. You need to be moderately fit for this walk and be able to walk for four miles without a break. In these walks we use; pavements, cross busy roads, public parkland, other public paths, rights of way, bridlepaths, country lanes and other established paths and tracks through woodland, bush and countryside. Please only wear good sturdy shoes, preferably walking boots and take care as surfaces may be uneven, tree roots may protrude, there may be low overhanging branches and some paths are also used by joggers and cyclists and sometimes cars (country lanes). Some tracks may be muddy and slippery. On occasion wild,domestic and farm animals may also encountered. If you require insurance for these walks then you must arrange this yourself.
