Founded in 2021 the Walton on Thames Social (WOTS) Group is built on a foundation of fun, vibrant, respectful, like-minded individuals who enjoy socializing, making new connections and attending great events.
Whether you’ve recently moved into the area or want to increase your social circle, you can be sure of a warm and friendly welcome.
We aim to make the most of the fantastic choice of venues within Walton-on-Thames and surrounding locations including (but not limited) to: Shepperton, Chertsey, Staines, Hampton, Kingston-upon-Thames, Ascot, Windsor, Woking and Guildford.
Our organised events include:

If you would like to become a member of the WOTS Meet-Up Group, click on the ‘Request to Join’ button and once accepted you can opt to attend one event using our ‘one-off trial option’ OR, to gain access to all of our fantastic selection of events, opt to become a Paid Member.
Due to charges levied by Meetup to use their website, WOTS charge a bi-annual fee of £10.
The bi-annual Paid Membership periods are:
● 1st February to 31 July Winter/Summer (W/S)
● 1st August to 31 January – Summer/Winter (S/W)
Please note:
● Paid Membership fees may be subject to change.
● A ‘Request to Join’ confirms your agreement to the Walton on Thames Social Group Terms and Conditions.
● Ticket and associated costs for attending external events such as shows, dances, meals etc. are not included in the Paid Membership or when attending one event using the ‘one-off trial option’ as a member.

The Blockheads at The Hub
The Hampton Hub Club, 3 Ashley Rd, Hampton TW12 2JA,, Surrey, GBI can give you several 'reasons to be cheerful!' if you join us to see The Blockheads. Starting out as the band behind Ian Dury, the Blockheads are a legendary outfit that has grown in stature from the early days of the Stiff tour in 1977, right up to the present day. Backing up Ian Dury's poetic lyrics, this is the band that brought you 'Hit Me with your Rhythm Stick', 'What A Waste', 'Reasons to be Cheerful (Part 3)', and 'Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll', among many others. Rarely off the road since the demise of Ian Dury in 2000, the Blockheads are still one of the most underrated British bands. Gonna be another banger… KEEPING IT LIVE

The Second Best Bed- Anne Hathaway
Riverhouse Barn Arts Centre, Manor Road, Walton-on-Thames, KT12 2PF, GBWhen Shakespeare died, he famously left his wife Anne only one thing – the second best bed. This superb one-woman play, full of both humour and pathos, has received great critical acclaim since its premier at the Swan Theatre Worcester in 2012. Liz Grand stars as Anne Hathaway on the night of Shakespeare’s funeral. The wake has finished, the mourners have all gone home, leaving Anne to remember her life with the most talented playwright the world has ever seen. Or was he? Did he write the plays? Liz Grand is a fabulous actress who I saw last year at the Riverhouse Barn playing the one-woman role of Mrs Churchill. Liz's performance was brilliant and the story telling fascinating. No doubt 'The Second Best Bed' will be as good.

Riverhouse Barn Arts Centre, Manor Road, Walton-on-Thames, KT12 2PF, GBWorld famous duo Red Hot Strings are returning to Riverhouse Barn with their exciting show; which combines Classical gems with modern contemporary tunes. Expect also a pianist and a surprise special guest to be announced soon!
