Deception Pass State Park is famous for its dramatic cliffs, fast-moving tidal currents, and incredible viewpoints—this route combines a trail along the water to (Lighthouse Point via Bowman Bay / Rosario Beach) with one of the best viewpoints (Goose Rock).
📍 MEETUP DETAILS
Time: 8:00 am (please arrive a few minutes early)
Location: Ash Way Park-and-Ride Lot
16327 Ash Way · Lynnwood, WA 98087
We will organize carpools and depart promptly at 8:10 am.
🚗 CARPOOL & COST
- Drivers: Thank you for volunteering! Bring a Discover Pass (required for parking)
- Riders: Please plan to contribute $15 cash or Venmo to your driver for gas
(Estimated ~90–100 miles round trip per car)
🗓️ ITINERARY (Approximate)
- 8:10 am – Depart Ash Way Park & Ride
- 9:45 am – Start Hike #1 (Lighthouse Point)
- 12:00 am – Enjoy lunch on the trail at an awesome viewpoint. - TBD
- 12:30 pm – Start Hike #2 (Goose Rock)
- ~2:30 pm – Depart park
- ~4:00 pm – Return to Ash Way Park & Ride
🥾 HIKE #1: Lighthouse Point via Bowman Bay / Rosario Beach

A beautiful coastal route featuring rugged shoreline, forest trails, and stunning viewpoints, finishing near Lighthouse Point.
🥾 HIKE #2: Goose Rock Trail

- Elevation Gain: ~500–600 ft
- Difficulty: Easy–Moderate
A short but rewarding hike to the highest point on Whidbey Island, offering panoramic views of the surrounding islands and waterways.
