Detalles

June, long weekend sailing in the sun. I am organizing another great weekend. This is a great opportunity a weekend sailing in sunny Alicante mid June. Get some sun and swimm in blue waters. Full Price €250 and is all included: boat charter, insurance, professional skipper, mooring fees and diesel, also food (breakfast, lunch and snacks but not dinners out in town).

Arriving Thursday 19th night, returning Sunday 22th evening. Train tickets are not included

I'm organizing a 3 day and 3 nights trip on board of a fully coded and insured 44 foot charter yacht with 4 double cabins. As skipper a commercially endorsed Yachmaster instructor and myself also a yachtmaster . As usual, serious fun with security and safety in mind. This trip is also perfect for novices as you will be in professional hands and will have the chance to securely learn about this fantastic sport. Meet people in a wonderful environment. Learn, sunbathe, swim, eat and visit the towns where we get to.

Intro to Alicante

Alicante is the Little Barcelona of the south East Spain, cosmopolitan and with an enviable weather. Daytime temperature in June is around 28 C, during the day, sunny and lovely!. So plenty of time to sail, sunbathe and relax. There is good wind and seas are usually flat, no tide to worry about, so sailing is an absolutely pleasure and fun.

Schedule

Take the late Thursday evening flight after work (only hand luggage needed) and return on Sunday night, jolly, happy, invigorated, well sailed and tan!

The Alicante marina-harbour is a short cab ride from the Alicante train station.

Itinerary (subject to improvement, suggestions and wind direction):

We will arrive around midnight on Thursday 19th, so the idea is going straight to the boat. There will be a welcome nibbles dinner and wine whilst we wait for everyone to arrive. If you arrive early you might drop your bags and go for a stroll around the promenade. You can return on Sunday 22th, you can return later if you wish, and spend one night at a hostel. I will organize this for you but is not included in the price.

On Friday after breakfast on board, we will sail off towards the picturesque La Vila Joiosa which literally translates like The Jolly Village. The journey is around 4-5 hours depending on how much tacking we have to do...is up to us mock around and spend more time at sea...or at the town..(democratic vote) we can also go to Altea which is 6 hours away depending on wind direction. Upon arrival we will open a bottle or two of Cava and some nice Spanish specialities to nibble , get a shower at the marina facilities...basically; relax and enjoy.
