AKBC is a peaceful place of refuge and spiritual encouragement. We present meditation and Buddha’s timeless wisdom for less stress and a happier life. Everyone is welcome in our community.
We're located in the Fox Point neighborhood of Providence and offer hybrid classes (both in person and online). Street parking available.

In this special public talk, Kadam Morten will share how we can begin to let go of worry and anxiety by using simple meditation techniques and practical advice that is easy to integrate into everyday life, regardless of your background or beliefs.
The talk will be a relaxed way to get a taste of Buddhist meditation and down-to-earth advice to find inner peace.

About the Teacher
Kadam Morten Clausen is the Eastern US National Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition of Buddhism and Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Center New York City.
For over 40 years he has been a close disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, who gave him the title “Kadam,” indicating he is a senior lay teacher of the New Kadampa Tradition.
Kadam Morten is a greatly admired teacher who teaches meditation throughout the world. He is especially known for his clarity, humor and inspirational presentation of Dharma. His teachings are always practical and easy to apply to everyday life. Through his gentle and joyful approach and his peaceful example, he has helped many people find true happiness in their hearts.Location: Goodwin University Auditorium
