Frequently Asked Questions:

What is Thai massage? Thai massage is a traditional healing art that combines rhythmic acupressure, assisted stretching, and mindful breathwork. It can be deeply meditative for both the giver and the receiver. Unlike a standard table massage, it is performed fully clothed on a floor mat. You’ll use your body weight to gently move your partner into yoga-like positions, releasing tension and improving flexibility without them having to do any of the work!

Who can I bring as my partner? Anyone you feel comfortable sharing space with! This workshop is open to romantic partners, friends, siblings, flatmates, etc. The techniques are about connection and communication, applicable to any relationship.

Do we need any previous experience? Not at all. The instructors teach the massage sequence step-by-step with a focus on safe practices, ease, and accessibility.

What is the "Movement Warmup"? It is a brief, gentle series of stretches and mobility exercises designed to tune into your body, drop into your breath, and prepare your joints for giving and receiving massage.

What should we wear? Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows for a full range of motion (like yoga gear or sweatpants). Thai massage is performed fully clothed on a mat, so please bring socks if your feet tend to get cold.

What should we bring? In addition to comfortable clothing, bring a water bottle and, of course, your partner! The studio has changing rooms, bathrooms, and plenty of yoga mats, blankets, and pillows for the session.

Who are the instructors? Chloe and Nico Marveaux are certified Thai massage therapists based in Barcelona, with training by teachers and mentors including Sebastian Bruno, Sarah Seely, and Prontip Mankhong.

What language does this workshop use? This workshop will be taught in English.
