While this event itself is free of charge, consumption at the venue is compulsory and very affordable. We appreciate your understanding that our team works voluntarily, but the venue needs to pay rent and bills :)

NUS - Neglected and Underutilized Species.
In this workshop with Alejandro García Díaz, you will explore:

  • What they are
  • Why it's important to recover their use and related knowledge
  • Which ones can we find in this area of the Mediterranean, and
  • How they can be used

Many of those plants were known and used everywhere a few decades ago; today, they are mostly used in less urbanized areas. The goal is to familiarize ourselves with those plants, in order to, little by little, reinsert them in our daily lives and support local biodiversity.
Bonus! 🥕🪻🌿 There will be some samples of local plants for the audience to see, touch and smell! 🫳🏽👃🏼👀

⌛♻️ UPDATED Swap Shop ♻️⌛
We're trying something new! Instead of bringing secondhand items, just bring yourself and your time, which you can exchange for someone else's. Intrigued but confused? We will explain how this works at the event, you don't need to prepare anything, just be ready to receive and give a bit of your time, if you want to participate. That's what community is for - building a network of support and shared moments :)

The interactive talk will begin at 19:00 sharp, please aim to arrive between 18:45 and 18:55 to have time to check-in and grab a drink at the bar 😊

This workshop is part of the series of events called Tapa Talks, facilitated by Environmental Social Association - ESA Logika. We put a lot of effort into designing these events to provide access to a safe space for free education, community building, resource sharing and active hope. If you would like to support our mission, we have a GoFundMe account.

Tapa Talks is an interactive workshop with new tools, practices and possibilities aimed to achieve a sustainable future 🌍 ❤️ Building a like-minded community, we focus on positive thinking, cooperation and solutions. The venue, Inusual Project, is also a cultural association and provides delicious and affordable tapas and drinks.
