June Meetup - Writing an emulator in JavaScript?

Welcome to the EdinburghJS June Meetup! We will be meeting on Tuesday 16th March, 18:30 for light refreshments and talks at the Perk offices, Nova House, 3-5 Ponton Street.

Our talk this month is the rescheduled talk from Sara Vieira on "Writing an emulator in JavaScript?"

> Video games!! Now that I got your attention, let's write an emulator in JavaScript so we can play other people's games right in the browser. You know what they say, everything that can be written in JavaScript will eventually be written in JavaScript.

We will also have a lightning talk from Luigi Creazzo on "Colour in data visualisation".

> As developers, we make colour choices all the time: in dashboards, data displays, status indicators, and UI feedback. But with 1 in 12 men and 1 in 200 women having some form of colour vision deficiency, a default palette can silently exclude a chunk of every audience. In this talk, Luigi explores why colour in data visualisation is an equity issue as much as an aesthetic one, using a real-world mapping project as a case study. You'll leave with practical takeaways, including how to use your browser's dev tools right now to simulate colour blindness and audit your own work.
