Happy Pride Month! 🏳️‍🌈
This month we're talking about the words that matter most; the ones that describe who we are, how we love, and how we move through the world. In English.

Whether you're fluent or just getting started, LGBTQ+ vocabulary in English can feel like a whole new language inside a language. Words like queer, non-binary, ally, privilege, visibility carry history, politics, and identity all at once. And knowing how to use them confidently opens doors.

This session is part vocabulary, part history, part celebration. We'll explore where these words come from, what they really mean, how they translate (and don't), and how to talk about identity in English with confidence and care.

What we'll cover:

  • Core LGBTQ+ vocabulary in English: meanings, origins, and how to use them
  • Words that exist in one language but resist translation
  • How identity language differs across English-speaking and Latin American cultures
  • How to talk about your own identity in English on your terms

What to expect:

  • A short vocabulary mini-lesson
  • Group conversation rounds with real prompts
  • Space to ask the questions you've always wanted to ask
  • Free social time to close — drinks in hand, Pride vibes throughout

No preparation needed. All levels welcome. Come as you are.
This is a welcoming, judgment-free space for LGBTQIA+ English learners in CDMX. All pronouns, all identities, all kinds of love. We're glad you're here!

🗣️ Free event | Drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) available at the venue

This is a free community event. If you find value in the space and would like to support future gatherings, voluntary contributions (tips) are welcome but never required.
