Finance Valencia Holiday Idea Exchange

The holidays are a giving season, but can also be an expensive time. So why not take a night to give something free - an idea - amidst that seasonal cheer?

Finance Valencia is hosting our first ever holiday idea exchange. Instead of bringing a gift or a meal, you just have to bring one financial idea, topic, or question, you'd like to discuss with others. That could be:

• An investment idea you want to share
• A part of finance you don't understand and would like to learn about
• A news item related to finances, economics, investing, or money
• Anything else on this general topic

We'll swap our ideas around the table, to help each other out and learn from one another. And, since we're meeting at a bar, we'll have some drinks (or even food for those in the mood).

💶Cost: Free (but drinks not included)

What:
Each attending member will bring a discussion topic with them. We'll draw the ideas randomly and talk about each one before moving on, and see how many ideas we can cover.

Ground rules:

• Please keep your RSVP updated; if you sign up but plans change and you can't make it, please let the organizers know by marking yourself as 'not going' before the 17th.
• No self-promotion (this is not a place to look for investors or buyers of your own services/products)
• Present your idea succinctly, in 1-3 minutes, so we have room for discussion (goal is to cover each topic in less than 10 minutes)
• Constructive, open-minded conversation - i.e. be open to other opinions
• Focus should be on finances in some way - politics is intertwined, but we don't plan on long political discussions
• If we don't get to your idea, save it for next time!

• Residents in and visitors to Spain eager to talk about finances in English
• Anyone curious about markets, investing, or personal finance
• People looking for a lively discussion about all things finance
• Anyone else who might be interested. All are welcome!

This is a free event but at a bar, so we need to get numbers right. Please do your best to RSVP on time and update any change in plans on time.
