The First Unitarian Universalist Society of San Francisco (UUSF) is a welcoming community to all who seek a congregation grounded in love, committed to caring for one another, supporting one other in spiritual growth, and dedicated to building a compassionate, just and sustainable world.
Our Unitarian Universalist (UU) faith believes that love is the power that holds us together and is at the center of our UU shared values. We are accountable to one another for doing the work of living our shared values through the spiritual discipline of Love. Inseparable from one another, these shared values are: Interdependence; Pluralism; Justice; Transformation; Generosity; Equity.
We support and encourage a lifetime pursuit of spiritual growth and learning for all ages. Through classes, programs, workshops, community events, rituals, rites of passage and worship. All are welcome at UUSF, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, national origin, immigration status, religion or disability.

UUSF Young Adults Lunch Outing
First Unitarian Universalist Society of San Francisco (UUSF), 1187 Franklin Street, San Francisco, CA, USUUSF 20s & 30s Community Event
Join us on the third Sunday of each month to enjoy lunch together after the Sunday service. This event is open to all who are ages 18–39, whether you are new to UUSF or a long-time member. It's a great chance to meet some new folks and learn a bit more about our community.We gather inside the church in the main hallway next to the Sanctuary at 12:30pm and walk to a local cafe or restaurant to enjoy a meal together (location TBD). You are welcome to attend the service in the Sanctuary first, from 11:00AM - 12:15PM, or just join us for lunch.
We recommend bringing small bills or to be prepared to use a money transfer app of your choice.

Like many faith communities, UUSF skews older. To transform this fact, UUSF offers programming for young adults to connect with their peers and get their spiritual needs met. We also support young adults throughout the congregation; we show up everywhere, from the choir to the board!Our programming and events are open to all aged 18-39, whether you are brand new to Unitarian Universalism or a longtime friend at UUSF.

AI and UU: A Community Conversation
First Unitarian Universalist Society of San Francisco (UUSF), 1187 Franklin Street, San Francisco, CA, USWe're gathering for a Community Conversation to make sense of AI together - not with a lecture or expert panel, but through honest dialogue where everyone's experience matters.
We will gather to explore, listen, and think together.
This event is for you if…- You've been thinking about AI… but don't know where to start
- You are not a tech expert (most of us aren't)
- You want to think alongside others, not alone
- You're carrying questions you haven't had space to explore
What to expect: 90 minutes. Small group conversation. Thoughtful questions. People listening to each other. No pressure to have answers - just space to notice what you're noticing. We will gather in the MLK room.
This event is open to everyone, and we encourage you to bring a friend along who is also interested in this topic. We will have snacks and hot drinks available.

Join the 20s & 30s Spiritual Discussion Group for a time of spiritual reflection, sharing, and connection with peers.
In May we are exploring the theme ‘Awakening Curiosity’. We will use a range of sources, including literature, music, and art, as well as discussion questions, to enrich and guide our conversations, and close with a short meditation.
