Future Gay Parents (SFBay)

San Francisco FrontRunners is hosting their Friends & Family Day. It’s a great opportunity for FGD members to connect with a broader LGBTQ+ community while enjoying a relaxed and active morning outdoors.

There’s a healthy overlap between FGD and SFFR, making this a natural chance to expand your social circle and meet others who may be interested in or on the path to building families. Some SFFR members will be bringing their kids, offering a casual setting to connect with families at different stages.

The event includes options for all levels, from a short scenic walk to longer runs, plus a family-friendly stroll. It’s an easy way to get outside, move a bit, and enjoy Golden Gate Park together, followed by food and social time.

Event details:

• Date: May 16, 2026
• Location: Blue Heron Picnic Area (near Blue Heron Boat House; ample street parking near the picnic area) — look for the Pink Unicorn 🦄
• Schedule:
• 8:45 am: coffee
• 9:00 am: welcome and warm-up
• 9:15 am:
• 1-mile walk
• 3, 4, or 5-mile runs
• Family-friendly stroll (~0.5 mile paved path with some elevation) to Prayerbook Cross, waterfall, and Naga (Water Dragon)
• ~10:00 am: food, raffle, and social time
• Wrap up around 11:30 am
• Optional FGD lunch to follow

All new runners and guests receive a raffle ticket.

Join us for a relaxed Future Gay Dads hangout to catch up, share experiences, and learn from each other. We’ll have open conversations and may include a few informal discussions on IVF, surrogacy, health, finances, parenting, school planning, and related topics. Open to anyone at any stage of the journey to becoming a gay dad.

Light lunch and refreshments will be provided. $15/person for those joining lunch with signup by Sun 7/19; $20/person after or at the door.
