He holds product and engineering responsibility for Google’s flagship languages and frameworks—including Go, Dart, Flutter, and Genkit—while simultaneously heading the Open Source Programs Office (OSPO), Developer Relations, and Documentation programs. Richard’s overall team activates and empowers the world’s developers on Google technologies. His career spans leadership roles in architecture and product management, complemented by his work as an author, 12-time Microsoft MVP, and lead editor for InfoQ.
