Hyderabad Bicycling Club

The start point for one of Secunderabad's most popular ride is Runway 9, Kompally. We will all assemble not later than 5:40 AM and start this ride at sharp 5:45 AM. We ride straight towards Medchal for about 30-40 mins and return back by 7:15 AM. This ride/road is a road cyclist's paradise with gentle winds and gradual rolling tarmac. It will be a nice, easy, chatty ride. So if you are a beginner, no worries, just ride and have fun.

Essentials for the ride

Bicycle in good condition (Sorry we don't have any bikes to give on rent)

Helmet (MUST)

Drinking water

Spare tube/puncture repair kit

Snacks

Let us resolve to 'Bike to Work' - once in a week to begin with. If it is not possible for some to bike all the way to work, just try taking the bike out this day. Even a 15 minute ride at any time of the day will qualify you for this 'Pledged Ride' of Hyderabad Bicycling Club.

The start time given here is optional and it entirely depends on you. Those who are willing to Bike to Work this day - please indicate your starting point and time so that others (can be our members or otherwise) who are interested to cycle and will take the same route or part of it might find good company in you to start with. Individuals can either start an easy ride or plan to ride to work on their own at their convenient time this day.

These 'Bike to Work' rides are initiated by HBC to encourage all its members to take to cycling as frequently as possible. The key element to the success of this initiative is nothing but the members cooperation and participation. May we expect these in abundance!

The ride is open to everybody. HBC will also provide bicycles to members who need them on rent

What : Two Lakes Ride

When : Sunday, 6 AM

Distance: 45 KMS

Duration: about 2.5 hours

Where : Gachibowli Bike station, Opp. to Bio-Diversity park

Exceptions: Bad Weather cancels

This is a self supporting ride. Please carry sufficient water, money for emergency, snack bar / chikki etc. HBC enforces all the riders to wear helmets. So please carry helmet.

Note for HBC members who need bike:

Please carry an original ID card like your valid Driving license, PAN card etc. The ID card will be kept with us and will be returned back after the ride on returning the bike. Please be at bike station before 5:30

• Continue on ORR service road up to Nanakram guda.
