馃毄 馃毄 馃毄PLEASE: Don鈥檛 RSVP if you鈥檙e not coming or change it as soon as you know you can鈥檛 come (try not to change it last minute so someone on the waiting list still has time to make plans). This way we can use the limited spots we have for someone who genuinely wants to come.
Hike: Lagoa Azul- Lagoa dos Mosqueiros- Rio da Mula in Sintra mountains
Distance: 13.5 km
Total Ascent: 550m ( moderately difficult)
The hike is mostly through beautiful Sintra forest and touches three lakes in Sintra mountains. It will start from Lagoa Azul and will finish at Malveira da Serra.
馃彙馃彙 Meeting point: In front of Estoril Train Station. We will take share uber from Estoril Train Station to Lagoa Azul. The hike will start from there.
馃憠馃憠 From LISBON: Those of you are coming from Lisbon please take train from Cais do Sodre at 9h00. You will arrive at 9h37 at Estoril.
Price: Train 2.50 and Bus plus uber ride 2.50 + 250. If you have Navegante Metropolitano pass in Lisbon, then these train + bus journeys are included!
馃毦AVAILABILITY OF TOILETS en route: There is no toilet facility along our trails.
馃崟馃尟馃崒BRING PACKED LUNCH and 2 litters of water. We'll have lunch at the Lagoa dos Mosqueiros.
IMPORTANT: Good HIKING shoes are recommended. Please BRING WIND JACKET & warm cloths of for the current weather conditions. Cash may be useful to have.
馃毄 馃毄 馃毄Please be on time. If you miss the train you will miss the hike. Don't pursue if you miss the train or bus.
WAY BACK: The hike will end at Cascais Shopping Mall. We could take either bus or share Ubers from there.
