Lisbon Therapists & Coaches Connect

Please join us for our regular Women's discussion and support group on questions and challenges when working in the coaching, therapeutic and healing professions. This is a facilitated group discussion in which each participant will have an opportunity to share and receive support from the group on a professional question or challenge they are currently experiencing - whether related to developing a niche, expertise or practice, working in Portugal, sole-entrepreneurship or any other professional topic. It is also an opportunity to connect, chat and share stories and experiences with fellow practitioners living in the Lisbon area :)

This is open to both our existing members and newcomers - so if you are a coach, therapist, counselor or healer based permanently in the Lisbon area, looking to connect with fellow professionals and contribute to our beautiful community, we would love to meet you!

The event will be facilitated by Samantha Whetstone (Professional Coach & Jungian Psychoanalyst) & Niah Sommers (Systemic Couple and Family Psychotherapist).

Meet-Up Format

• 6.00pm to 6.15pm - Welcome and introductions.
• 6.15pm to 7.30pm - Facilitated group discussion in which each participant will have an opportunity to receive support from the group (depending on numbers, we will likely breakout into smaller groups).
• 7.30pm to 8pm - Key takeaways and closing.
• 8pm onwards - Opportunity for further connection and optional dinner.

Please arrive promptly by 6.15pm in order to be able to participate fully and so as not to disrupt the energy of the group.

Practicalities
The event will take place at Honest Greens Cais do Sodre (we will be in the largest seating area furthest from the order point). There is no charge for attendance but we recommend a purchase of at least €5 of food and/or drink to support the venue.

Note: This event is open to our women-presenting community only, and is aimed at those who are already practicing or in training in the coaching, therapeutic and healing professions and based permanently in the Lisbon area. If you have any questions, please reach out to one of the Organizers.

About Lisbon Therapists & Coaches Connect
Lisbon Therapists & Coaches Connect is a strong and diverse community of Lisbon area-based professionals with various coaching, therapeutic and healing specialisms, established in 2022. We meet regularly to share our knowledge and experiences in order to help each other learn, grow and develop, support each other and discuss interesting topics relevant to our practices.

When imbalances arise in a woman's body, it's not a sign that the body is malfunctioning—it's simply communicating. This presentation explores how the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda can be combined with modern Western medicine to guide women back to their natural equilibrium. We will look at how traditional principles can gently support the female body through major life transitions like menopause, perimenopause, and the journey of fertility.

The discussion will highlight the deep connection between the nervous system, stress regulation, and cyclical well-being, addressing the areas where conventional care often leaves women looking for a more personal, root-cause approach. Participants will be guided through a compassionate framework designed to translate these holistic concepts into practical and gentle self-care routines.

Practicalities:
The event will take place at Kube Coworking, upstairs in the Open Hall. We will begin promptly at 6.30pm so please ensure that you are seated before then so as not to disrupt the energy of the event. You can buy refreshments at the adjoining cafe before the event.

There is no charge for attendance but we recommend a voluntary donation of at least €5 (cash only) for those who are willing and able to contribute to help cover the use of the venue, support for the presenters, as well as administrative costs.

About the Presenter:
Hannah Schmitt, MD, is a German medical doctor, yoga teacher, and Ayurveda practitioner specializing in holistic women’s health, as well as the host of the German podcast Soma Talk. Her work is guided by the idea of careful listening, blending her clinical training from med school with advanced Ayurvedic and European herbal studies to support the body, mind, and soul. Hannah’s integrative approach focuses on gentle nervous system regulation and specialized hormonal and pre-/postnatal yoga to guide women through times of stress and hormonal transition. By bridging medical knowledge with a soft, embodied approach, she creates a safe space of trust where women can slow down, reconnect, and return to balance at their own natural pace.
