🤖DUSt3R Family: A new era in 3D computer vision👀

In this event, we will talk about the incredible revolution of big foundational models in recent years. Specifically, about one of the last fields where foundational models were not widespread: 3D computer vision. In 2024, "DUSt3R: Geometric 3D vision made easy", a revolutionary paper, changed this paradigm forever.🚀

The main idea is to use a big transformer that can predict the relative 3D points of a scene from two views and to do it purely based on the RGB images, commonly known as stereo vision. This rather simple objective, sets the perfect ground for many other tasks such as auto-calibration, pose estimation, visual localization, 3D reconstruction, and many others.
