We’re heading to the Arabic Staircase – a circular route through the peaceful pine forest of Haza del Río and up the legendary steps carved into the mountainside over 500 years ago. ✨ Walking these steps feels like stepping back in time—the path is believed to have been built during the Moorish period to connect trade routes and access water sources🏞️
Breathtaking views, fresh mountain air, and a well-deserved drink at a local bar to finish—what more could you ask for? 🍻

Where, when, and how to get there
⏰ Start time: 10:00 am (please arrive 10 minutes early!)
📍 Meeting point: Train Station El Chorro
🚗 Carpooling: We organize rides in the WhatsApp group!
🚆Alternatively, the meeting point is accessible by public transport: take a train from Málaga María Zambrano to El Chorro. We recommend buying your train ticket in advance, as it’s not a 'Cercanías' train but a 'Proximidad' train.
Tips for a great hike
- 🥾 Shoes: Hiking shoes with good grip are a must!
- 💧 Hydration & snacks: At least 2L of water, plus snacks or a light lunch to keep your energy up.
- 🧢 Sun protection: Sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses – especially for the sunny stretches.
