🏕️ Details of the place

Hello dear friends! We all started to have a Cristmass mood already ,and the best way to fill a Cristmass mood is to go to fir tree Festival in Espinelves! 🌇

Espinelves is a Romanesque town , still very good preserved in Catalonia, where you can find unique pieces of art from that time in perfect condition!
A great variety of firs trees are shown,in this Festival!

We will see also natural and artisan products, different from those normally found in stores!

This time we will go towards Pantano de Sau, the famous reservoir, at the bottom of which are the ruins of a once existing village, but today from the lake you can only see the dome of the church rising above the water. Due to the hot summer, this autumn we will be able to see the whole church in its entirety. We will pass through some awesome viewpoints and finish the route in a small village where the bus will take us to the Christmas tree festival in Espinelves, where we will see many performances and feel the real atmosphere of Christmas in a medieval Catalan town, and someone will even buy a Christmas tree for home .

How will be our Day?

· Meeting point: at 8:00 a.m. (will be writen in what´up)
· 8:15 we leave from Barcelona
· 10:30 Arriving to Tavertet and 30 min stop for a breakfast.
· 11:00 Staring our hike from the village of Tavertet.
· 14:00 Lunch time on the hiking route.
· 16:30 We will finish the hike and will take a bus to go to Espinelves.
· 17:15 Arriving to Espinelves.
· 18:45 going back to the bus to go back to Barcelona.
· 21:00 Arriving to Barcelona

Technical information

• Distance: 10 kms
• Estimated duration: 3 hours in total walking + 1h. besides the time to relax+1 hour walking in the city.
• Elevation gain: +300 m
• Physical difficulty: easy 🐘🐘. This time it is easy as we want to spend more time at the village!
• Type of route: circular.
