Sobre nosotros

Back in the day, I was 27 years old and still believed I was a boy, holding myself in proverbial isolation, with myriad layers of anger and sadness wrapped around my heart.

Attending ManKind Project's New Warrior Training Adventure, I roared those emotions out of my body while smacking a tennis racket onto pillows surrounded by men who had my proverbial back.

Once all the anger and sadness was out, I was able to sit down with my dad, consciously holding his hand for the first time in a while.

Happily seated, knowing something within me had shifted, I enjoyed the miloviti.  I gazed at my fingers nestled in perfectly with my dad's.

Wait, what?  I couldn't believe my eyes.

"Dad!" I exclaimed. "My hands are the same size as your hands!  When the hell did that happen?"

"They've been like that for a long time, son."

Huh. I thought to myself.  I guess I am a man. 🤯

It was in that moment, I realized I was a man, and apparently had been for some time!  And thanks to MKP, I now had multiple mature masculine role models to show me ways of being a man, including living in authenticity, integrity, accountability, compassion..  all while being open-hearted, conscious of my emotions, and able to communicate even as emotions arise.

My life changed for the better as I made choices to step forward through things that seemed exciting + scary, expanding my limits and repeatedly growing into a new me each time.  I'm still in that growth process and believe I'll continue indefinitely.
