What does it mean to be truly happy?

In a world that constantly encourages us to achieve more, own more, and become more, many people still find themselves searching for a deeper sense of fulfillment. Is happiness something we acquire from the outside, or something we uncover within?

This gathering invites us to explore one of humanity's oldest and most important questions: What is happiness?

Through mindful reading, open dialogue, and personal reflection, we will examine different perspectives on happiness—from psychology and philosophy to mindfulness and contemplative traditions. Together, we will explore:

• What is the difference between pleasure and happiness?
• Why do achievements and possessions often fail to provide lasting satisfaction?
• Can happiness exist independently of external circumstances?
• How can mindfulness help us cultivate inner well-being?
