Gut Brain Connection: Future of Digestive and Mental Health
Detalles
From 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM we discuss RANDOM BITS where anybody can bring information to the group that might be useful or important when considering the future. Then the presentation starts at 10 AM and lasts until noon. There is usually some time for discussion.
The gut-brain connection is a bidirectional communication network (the gut-brain axis) linking the enteric nervous system in the digestive tract with the central nervous system, primarily via the vagus nerve. Often called the "second brain," this connection allows physical health to directly influence mood, and vice versa, through neurotransmitters like serotonin.
