VLA After Meeting Ride (Yes, it’s open)

Join us for a ride to the Very Large Array (VLA) following the November monthly meeting. We’ll meet at Mimi's Cafe (4316 The 25 Way, Albuquerque, NM) after breakfast at 9:30 AM, with kickstands up at 9:45 sharp.

From Mimi's Café, we will take Jefferson to I-25 south. We will get off I-25 at the first Socorro exit and take a quick break for rest and gas in Socorro. We will continue on Highway 60 West through Magdalena and stop at the VLA. Expect to spend an hour to an hour and a half at the VLA.

We will have a picnic lunch at the VLA. This means bring your lunch if so desired. The VLA has a picnic area. After lunch, we will return to Albuquerque via Highway 60 and I-25.

Expect approximately five hours in the saddle.

The VLA is open (see link below). Admission is $10.00 for non-seniors and $8.00 for seniors.
