This is a fun hike that splits time between open fields and woods with a couple stream crossings. We start out in Horseshoe Bend where there is a porta-potty. After taking the blue trail briefly, we will then switch to the orange trail and take that on a big loop along open fields where we may hear the local peacock's calls. Upon entering Cooley Preserve, we will hike around corn fields on the field edge trail. Then we pass back into Horseshoe Bend park into the woods and descend down to a stream where we have lunch.

After lunch we continue on the Flagg Kirkland trail through the woods along the Delaware River (sadly, no view). That trail will take us on a loop and back to the parking lot.

Bring water, food, rain gear, and poles if you want them. Only heavy rain will cancel, I will post the night before if that's the case. If you need to contact me my cell is 609-471-4119.
