🛫 Julia y Python para optimización en aerolíneas

PyData Madrid vuelve en octubre para hablar de Python, Datos, Visualización, Inteligencia Artificial, ¡y lo que surja!

El evento se hará en el salón de actos de la Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería Aeronáutica y del Espacio (ETSIAE) de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (plaza del Cardenal Cisneros), y estarán invitados también los estudiantes.

En esta ocasión, tendremos el placer de contar con dos charlas:

• David García Heredia (19:15-19:45), Optimization Engineer en Ryanair, nos hará una introducción al lenguaje Julia con un ejemplo de optimización matemática (en español).
• Manuel Fuentes González (19:45-20:15), Director Ejecutivo en Cisneria, nos contará cómo llegó a crear su software de optimización para aerolíneas utilizando Python y otras tecnologías (en español).

Después de la reunión, buscaremos un bar por la zona de Moncloa para tomar un refrigerio y hacer un poco de networking.

Recomendaciones generales:

• ¿Sabes mucho de Python y Datos? ¿Sabes poco y quieres saber más? ¡En ambos casos, te damos la bienvenida!
• Aplica "la regla del comecocos": si estás en un círculo, deja siempre un hueco para que otra persona se pueda unir.
• Puede haber asistentes que no hablen bien español y que se manejen mejor en inglés. Sé paciente y ¡no dejes que se aburran!

The event will take place at the main auditorium of the Higher Technical School of Aeronautical and Space Engineering (ETSIAE) of the Technical University of Madrid (plaza del Cardenal Cisneros), and the students will be invited as well.

This time, we will have the pleasure of having these two talks:

• David García Heredia (19:15-19:45), Optimization Engineer at Ryanair, will give an introduction to the Julia programming language with a simple math optimization problem (in Spanish).
• Manuel Fuentes González (19:45-20:15), CEO at Cisneria, will tell us how they wrote their software for airline optimization using Python and other technologies (in Spanish).

After the meeting, we will look for a bar near Moncloa to have a bite and do a bit of networking.

General recommendations:

• Are you an expert in Python and Data? Are you a beginner and you want to learn more? In both cases, you are very welcome!
• Apply the "Pacman rule": if you're in a circle, leave a gap so that someone else can join.
• If you don't speak good Spanish, we will do our best to make you feel comfortable. But be mindful that other attendees might want to use their native language in larger conversations. Use this opportunity to practice your Spanish! If you are bored, feel free approach the organizers and say «Hi!»
