Barcelona Python Meetup January 2010 - Spreading the Python love 1st edition!
Detalles
We'll start the new year of the Barcelona Python Meetup with an introduction to Python for people who always wanted to learn Python but never got around to really dive in.
This is the preliminary table of contents:
Interpreter
Indentation
Expressions
Statements
Comments
Variables
Standard Types
Operators
Attributes
Functions
Conditions
Loops
Files
This introduction is for people who wouldn't necessarily define themselves as programmers, but I think it will be enjoyable by programmers that have already started with Python a while ago.
Disclaimer: As the time is limited, we will not be able to cover subjects like object orientation, classes, inheritance and further topics like debugging and unit testing. If there is enough interest, I can prepare a second part of this introduction for the next Meetup.
The duration of the introduction is 2 hours, and there should be plenty of time for discussion and trying things out in the Python Interpreter, so bring your laptop!
Please be sure to be at the location at 18:00, so we can start directly and finish by 20:00. We'll surely go out for a few drinks afterwards, so even if you are a Python Pro, you should definitely drop by!
