Speaking English in Gijón – for over 40s

This group is for people who are around 40 or older to socialise and speak English in Gijón. You will need a certain level of English to join in, but you don’t by any means need to be at an advanced level. If you can understand this message, you’ll be just fine. We all help each other along and have fun learning while we chat and make new friends.
The group has over 150 members but most people do not send an RSVP to each week's meeting. Normally we have around 12-15 people at each meeting with more if the weather is good! Outside of the meetings, we mostly communicate through a WhatsApp group which we will be very happy to add you to. If you are coming for the first time, please note that although meets officially start at 8 to 8.30 sometimes people do not arrive until a bit later. Also in the Summer, we are probably outside.
