Walking Workshop: Practical Stoicism
Detalles
Walking Workshop: Practical Stoicism 📍 Fountain at Plaza Nueva, Granada 🕘 Friday April 24, 19:00pm – 9:00pm 💶 €10 per person | Limited to 20 participants
Most of us have heard of Stoicism. Fewer of us actually practice it.
This walking workshop is a hands-on introduction to Stoic philosophy — not in a classroom, but on foot, moving through the hills above Granada.
We'll walk from Plaza Nueva up to the Alhambra, climb to the Silla del Moro, and descend back through the Albaicín — stopping along the way to explore the ideas that have helped people live more clearly for over two thousand years.
Each stop has a theme. Each theme has a practice. You'll leave with more than just knowledge — you'll leave with tools you can actually use.
What we'll cover:
*What Stoicism is (and what it isn't)
- The Dichotomy of Control — what's up to you, and what isn't
*Stoic practices: Memento Mori, Amor Fati, the View from Above - How to work with difficult impressions and emotions
*Your roles and responsibilities — the Hierocles circles
Everyone gets a printed workbook to follow along and take home.
This is for you if: You're curious about Stoicism but haven't known where to start. You want philosophy that's practical, not academic. You like walking, fresh air, and good conversation.
No prior knowledge needed. Just show up.
After signing up, you'll receive a confirmation email with payment details. The signup deadline is Saturday at 12:00 pm so we can prepare your workbook in time.
Meet at the fountain in the centre of Plaza Nueva — we'll be there from 16:15 pm.
Distance: ~7km | Elevation: moderate | Bring water and comfortable shoes.
